Job Title: Lead / Senior Developer
Our Norfolk based client is one of East Anglia's leading internet design & development organisation. They are looking to expand head up their design and project teams due to substantial growth over the last 12 months. Description:
You will have strong knowledge of the Web standards concepts, Usability, accessibility and knowledge of or experience with screen readers & other assistive technology.
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and driven individuals who have excellent communication skills, a passion for web development and a proven Web Development job history. The applicant will be involved within the full development life cycle of projects including design, implementation, deployment, documentation and support. As the Lead Developer they will be expected to have a hands on approach to projects within the team suggesting best development practices and overseeing work carried out by other members of the team.
Position Function/Responsibilities:
1) The Senior Developer is responsible for developing all Company products in line with Company quality standards.
2) System planning and client communications to identify and fulfil needs.
3) The role is also responsible for coaching and mentoring junior members of the Development team.
4) The role is also responsible for maintaining the highest possible quality standards and interaction with our QA Department.
5) The role is responsible for working closely with the project manager to make sure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Duties/tasks:
• Lead the technical team
• Develop Company products
• Coaching and mentoring Developers
• Producing code to the highest standards
Knowledge/Experience:
• Proficient in the following: ASP, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, SQL Server, MySQL, XML/XSLT, SOAP
• Additional useful skills: Asp.NET, Flash & Video editing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as a member of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Producing to DDA / Accessibility requirements
• Experience in developing Content Management Solutions
• Experience of managing projects
Work Environment:
Ability to work in a fast paced office environment and have the leadership skills that will enable you to oversee projects by the team.
