Job Description
Thai Chef – Bedford - UK
Must have at least 3 years relevant experience at NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Duties include preparing and cooking Thai meat and fish dishes with a good knowledge of Thai sauces. To prepare and cook starters, garnishes, stocks and dressings. Recognition of meat cuts, trimming, preparation, cooking and presentation. Preparation of basic sweets (hot and cold), garnishes and sauces. The role will involve deputising the Head Chef with training and supervising of junior chefs together with handling stock, ordering and cutting down on wastage. You may also be asked to oversee certain sections of the kitchen. You will also maintain excellent hygiene procedures in the kitchen.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Minimum of 36 months Kitchen experience
Knowledge of Thai cuisine
Accommodation can be provided.
Must be able to speak English Fluently
It is unlawful to work in the UK without a legal permit.
