Job Description
Abrecco wish to recruit a Software Engineer to work for a dynamic and expanding Edinburgh based company who provide internet and application development services to multiple industry sectors. This role will involve far more than just coding as you will take part in all aspects of the development lifecycle. To be considered for this interesting and challenging role you should have all or some of the following skills:
Essential:
- Experience in Perl and/or Java
- Good working Knowledge of XML, HTML and SQL
- Web development exposure (Java Servlets / Apache / Tomcat)
- Degree educated in Computer Science / Software Engineering or similar
- Experience in Linux or Unix operating systems
Desirable:
- Relational database experience would be an advantage e.g. MySQL, Oracle, Sybase etc
- Analysis and Design exposure
- Knowledge of Data encryption and security would be advantageous.
