This vacancy is for a SW Architect to assist in the detailed architectural design and planning of a complex system integration and development solution.
The successful candidate will be an experienced designer and developer who can demonstrate experience of integrating both COTS and in-house developed software systems.
Good verbal and written communication skills are required to work with large development team and to communicate effectively with management team.
Knowledge & Qualifications
Essential
Degree level in IT, Engineering or Science related discipline.
Experience of using UML for Process design and Data modelling
Proven application design experience, knowledge of design patterns.
Experience of integrating applications using XML, XSL and other technology.
Understanding of architectural frameworks and best practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
An understanding of composite loose-coupled application design, patterns and templates, and component-based development
A good team player
A good listener with excellent communication skills
Desirable
Iterative development experience -Agile and RUP methodology
Strong problem solving skills, with accurate decision making abilities under pressure.
Enterprise Java, J2EE design and development using Eclipse or Netbeans
Experience of database design and development
Experience of Application Integration brokers
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
