The clients Engine Test Centre is expanding it's current portfolio and are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and flexible engineer to focus on engine calibration and development.
Experience
Essential:
Must be suitably qualified and have good experience in a similar role within an engine test environment.
Have a working knowledge of engine test cell equipment and the use of INCA, Cameo / Matlab, Excel, Word, Project.
Working knowledge of engine torque based calibrations and proven knowledge on developing engine management systems to meet the customer requirements.
Broad knowledge primarily of Bosch EMS's but others would be useful and a willingness to learn new.
Thorough understanding of complex engines, testing techniques and associated equipment and tools.
You must have knowledge of Calibration of torque based control systems including emissions and climate development.
Knowledge of the use of model based calibration tools.
Engine mapping.
On board diagnostics.
Role and Responsibilities:
Project managing customers programmes for engine tests on gasoline and diesel fuelled engines.
Analysing, reporting and presenting engine test programmes to customers.
Generally have full project responsibility and must be able to plan, set up and run engine dynamometer calibration and development projects.
Experience of dealing with customers at all levels with a willingness to travel to these customers if necessary.
Basic Hours: 40 hours per week
Or up to £28.20 per hour on a limited company basis.
