We are a recruitment agency and we are currently recruiting for a number of Procurement Professionals - this particular role is for a Senior Buyer.
Responsible for enquiring, negotiating and placing orders of materials, equipment and services within the agreed budget, schedule and specified quality levels.
The duties and responsibilities of the Buyer shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Issuing enquiries and carrying out commercial evaluation of bids in cooperation with other sales/project team members
Issuing purchase orders and purchase order amendments within agreed financial limits
Control and summary of the status of inquiries, bid evaluations and commitments
Preparing and issuing monthly status and progress reports
Invoice processing according to agreed authority matrix and procedures
Assistance in suppliers? claims and back charges
Expediting of suppliers? documents in cooperation with other departments
Carrying out supplier prequalifications and approvals
Negotiation and preparation of agreements of routine products
Assistance in other agreements
Job requirements Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Good negotiation skills
Knowledge of products and technologies of respective businesses
Good communication skills and ability to build a strong relationship with internal and external partners
Knowledge of IT tools and systems
Experience in procurement of materials, equipment and services in related business
