Please visit our websit colbernlimited co uk for more opportuities Will work as part of multidisciplined team in the design of Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) products for spaceflight application. The role will be to support the team in design and analysis of of electronic circuits for amplifier bias regulation, amplifier control functions, telemetry / telecommand and DC power regulation. The work will be a mix of detailed design and analysis together with practical hands on implementation of circuits, design proving and troubleshooting. The team enjoys a world leading position in SSPA supply to the aerospace market. Current programmes include AMC5R (US Customer), Alphasat (INMARSAT), Glonass (Russian Customer) and Galileo (ESA). In addition to this the team is undertaking some very exciting product development with high power Galium Nitride SSPAs. Prospects for further contracts are excellent. Mandatory requirements are: HND or similar qualification in Electronics / Electrical Engineering. Proven experience in design of analogue electronics products and a working familiarity with digital design. Has a good awareness of electronic circuit implementation / packaging options (PCB / multi-layer / conventianal hybrid / ASIC) and overall design constraints It would be good to have familiarity with: Telemetry and telecommand protocols and interfaces. Power Bus requirements and DC/DC converters. EMC constraints and design practice. Radiation hardening issues. RF / microwave amplifiers Military / space requirements Ability to perform Worst Case and Parts Stress analyses. Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
