Job Description
RF Engineer, Radio Frequency, Boardcast, RF/Antenna/Filter Design.
My client is a global communications infrastructure solutions provider who provide innovative products and services to satisfy the needs of the cellular network, broadcast, radar/surveillance and transportation markets.
Their products and services include a wide selection of self-supporting structures, monopoles, cellular and GSM antennas, mobile cell sites, wireless infrastructures, component solutions, telemetry and optimisation systems including WiFi, WiMAX, fixed line broadband solutions and all backed by a wide range of high quality support services.
The successful candidate will be tasked to design and engineer systems for tenders and projects for the prestigious digital switchover programme for the UK broadcast industry. To participate in the redesign of our existing product range. Design of RF components and systems to the satisfaction of the customer and Design Manager taking due account of budgetary and time constraints. Testing and commissioning of antenna and combining systems, both in the factory, on-site test range and where required on high structures. Liaise with clients on technical issues, whilst keeping the project manager aware of any issues which affect the project commercially. Work with all resources to ensure efficient and accurate production of documentation, design, manufacture and assembly. Participate in a major project to redesign and enhance our existing product range.
Skills required: Several years practical experience of RF design (ideally antennas and filters). Will also consider candidates at entry level with limited experience and Master’s degree (for trainee level). Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines. Able to apply RF theory to resolve antenna performance of products and systems. Must have a Full UK Driving Licence. Vehicle/car not essential but an advantage
