Salary guideline range £28-32,000
We are a specialist recruitment agency and we are currently recuiting for two Project Managers for our Luton based client.
The company is involved in the supply of submersible motors and pumps for use in the power, water and offshore industries. It specialises in the manufacture of low volume, high value equipment for use in critical applications in these industries.
This role requires a project manager with a background in delivering projects on time and to budget. The ideal candidate will also have a desire to deliver world class performance to our customers in conjunction with a team of capable engineers.
The Project Manager
As Projects Manager the applicant would be expected to:
· Manage a portfolio of contracts
· Manage of all internal and subcontract activities associated with the delivery of the contracts under their control
· Review draft quotations and propose contract management plans to ensure that the company will deliver its promises if an order is accepted.
· Maintain close liaison with the customer to ensure their requirements are understood and communicated correctly within the company.
· Monitor performance against contract plan and budget taking appropriate action to ensure the company delivers on time and achieves the expected margins.
· Identify and assess risks related to the contract and put in place appropriate measures.
· Lead post contract reviews to provide feedback to the company as the basis of improving the products and services offered to customers and the financial performance of future contracts.
Capabilities, experience and education
The applicant would be expected to have the following capabilities and education:
· A degree in a suitable and relevant discipline.
· Experience in project or contract management.
· Experience in mechanical engineering
· A flexible 'hands on' approach.
