Product Engineer
Swindon, Wiltshire, South West
Salary guideline range £28-32,000
We are a specialist recruitment agency and we are currently looking for an Product Engineer n their New Model Trim department Swindon, Wiltshire, South West.
The Product Engineer will be working within the New Model Trim Department and the Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Confirming Trim part function, fit & finish, etc.
- New Model build support and design countermeasure verification
- Past problem confirmation and reflection on to future models
- Checking design changes received from R&D Japan
- Investigation of specification change requests from suppliers and Departments
- Confirmation of applications by part variations to vehicles
Qualifications:
- Minimum of HND in an Engineering discipline and/or relevant experience
Experience:
- Experience of Catia would be advantageous
- Experience of Plastics/Polymers would be advantageous
- Experience at engineering level in a volume manufacturing environment
Other Requirements:
- An understanding of the processes involved in manufacturing
- A high level of understanding and ability to interpret company or Engineering component drawings
- Valid driving licence
- Demonstrable ability to efficiently investigate, analyse and problem solve concerns, and decide upon appropriate countermeasures
- Demonstrable computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well verbally & written
- Good planning, organizational and self management skills
- Flexible approach to overseas travel and overtime
- Must not be colour-blind
