Job Description
Store Manager
Working for one of the UK’s top Organic Food stores, the idea person will probably come from a large supermarket background with a specialism for organic food or someone with a food store background who demonstrate really good business acumen.
This position requires someone to hit the ground running as there are considerable plans for opening new stores across the UK, so responsibilities will include managing an existing store and working towards one of the many new openings in due course.
A thorough knowledge of food store retail, profit & loss, people management skills, waste control and the ability to control salary costs are essential.
Understanding organic retail is an important factor in order to understand: the dietary needs and expectations of the customer, stock handling and certification.
In addition to good motivational and people skills, experience of training staff and the ability to coach core and multi-skills through small teams is a distinct advantage.
Each store has 3 department supervisors reporting directly to you and team members in turn.
The starting salary is C. £35,000 pa + benefits. A comprehensive training programme will be commencing at start date.
