Programme Manager - Overseas Customer
South Wales, Newport, Oakdale
£40-55,000 salary guideline range
We are a specialist recruitment agency and we are looking for an experienced Overseas Customer Programme Manager for our South Wales based client. Ideal candidates will have experience of Sub Contract Management and overseas customers.
Responsibilities
Programme Execution
· Prepare and implement work schedules and programme planning, liasing with specialist areas across matrixed organisation
· Accountability for programme performance
· Monitor, review and prioritise work schedules with team and review programme resources
· Monitoring, management and mitigation of existing and new risks
· Manage and execute programmes from any part of the programme lifecycle (Assessment phase, Development, Production, Support & Disposal)
· Ensure requirements of contract are flowed down to the programme team with clearly defined tasking § Provide advice and work with team to resolve matters relating to costs, work schedules and technical issues as required
Education/Experience
Essential
· Higher Engineering/Management qualification (e.g. HND, HNC, Diploma) or equivalent experience
· Project/programme management experience
· Experience of financial management
· Experience in team leadership
· Knowledge of business development
Desired
· Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering/Management or equivalent experience
· Current Programme Management related qualification (e.g. APMP, PRINCE2) /evidence of Continuing Professional Development
· Defence and MoD knowledge and familiarity with MoD's acquisition process
· Knowledge of internal programmes
Skills
· Proven ability of time scheduling/phasing on complex programmes
· Strong budgeting/cost management ability
· Proven practical application of risk management with medium risk programmes
· Proven practical application of work content scope management
· Ability to lead medium integrated project teams
· Ability to communicate using a variety of methods/mediums, accurately and in a timely manner
· Financial acumen
