Our client is a large Communications and Media Technology organisation based in Croydon. They are currently recruiting for several experienced network engineers (SDH/PDH) to join a busy team within their 24/7 Network Management Centre which would suit any suitably qualified, career minded professional and opens up great opportunities for someone who is inspired by groundbreaking networks.
The purpose of this position is to provide effective maintenance, support, fault finding, diagnosis and resolution across the Transmission Networks.
Responsibilities will include Monitoring the Networks using the various Management systems. Conduct diagnostics for customer reported faults. Interrogate the relevant network, switch, Dacc’s attempting to isolate, localise and rectify the fault, or stage to other agencies that can. Act as a single point of contact for technical assistance and enquiries from Field, NMC’s and OLO’s.
Requirements:
Sound knowledge of transmission principles, SDH/PDH is essential. Sound knowledge of network management systems. Formal technical training in telecommunications, or a related subject, or relevant on the job experience. Knowledge of the NMC Fault processes and procedures. Sound knowledge of the Remedy application. Flexibility to work on a shift rota.
Salary: Overall package up to circa £35,000 +
Breakdown: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum plus 25% shift allowance. Flexible benefits including holidays and pension etc…
