Job Description
My client is a hi-tech engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of rugged computers and peripherals. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer of graduate calibre to work as a Design Detailer. This is a demanding position where a successful candidate would work on exciting new product design.
Responsibilities would include
- Preparation of conceptual designs and costings for projects
- Preparation of Detail drawings and assemblies for projects
- Assist in the preparation of Specification and Project plans
- Assist in the change control process, updating drawings and documentation
- Preparing test plans
- Preparing test reports
You will have
- A BEng in Mechanical Engineering, equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience
- Experience of using a 3D CAD tool
- Good attention to detail
- A working knowledge of the MS Office suite
Experience of using SolidWorks or designing plastic mouldings, sheet metal / castings will be an advantage. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and advance your career in engineering.
