St Davids: Would it be unreasonable to ask my mum to drive me 15 miles to work?
I've found a job (after phoning countless shops, handing in HUNDREDS of CVs and application forms) on a website which is perfect for me, but it is 15 miles away.
15 miles there ... 15 miles back.
Should I offer to pay my mum some of the price in petrol?
I'm 16 so I need a job to help me through college and in June I'm going to begin to drive, so I need to save for that as well.
So, parents, is it unreasonable?
Should I offer to pay *some* of the cost she'll pay in petrol to take me there?
Thanks.

St Davids: How far would £37,000 per year get you?
I'm in college and thinking of doing quantity surveying as a career. Now the average salary of QS is £37 000 or about £700 per week. But how does that measure up in the real world?
So assume that I was married to someone who earned about the same as me (so that would be £75 000 altogether), what kind of house or car etc could I get?
See, i've no idea how far it get's you. QS seems a pretty achieveable job for me but £37 000 doesn't actually sound that much to me. So am I being silly and unrealistic when I say I want like £70 000 per year?
Basically, i'd like in 15-20 years time and married with kids to have a house with like 4 bedrooms, a decent car, a... 21 Nov 08, 01:11:17
St Davids: Do you believe 9/11 was an inside job?
I don't believe that 9/11 was an inside job, but i do believe the threat was there and it was a lot bigger then out government let on. it wouldn't have been uncommon, look at pearl harbor. Roosevelt knew it was coming. Gulf of ton-kin incident. LBJ had an Fictitious American Boat sunk as means to get involved in the vietnam war. Also the fake plane crash of American College students that kennedy was going to approve until it got leaked to the public. They where going to use that for an excuse to invade cuba in the bay of pigs.
Also look at the project for a new world order...its was a neo con think tank that had rumsfeld, cheney, and ashcroft. And in this think tank they said th... 21 Nov 08, 01:11:11
St Davids: I am Absolutely stymied in my life i need help ive been unemployed for 2 years and have no high school diploma?
I need help im really smart well read I have gone to junior college and found out it was pretty much bs unless you wanna spend ton of cash and sacrifice mass hours of time to hopefully maybe get work. Yes that's my problem I have always seen through the crap im very smart what can I say I have worked at low paying jobs because of their ease and enjoyment. At times I have worked carp jobs but not always. Its kinda caught up to me I have no work experience besides basic maintenance I understand fully the key to wealth yet their is zero possibility of me achieving it without winning the lottery. College allows you to possibly get a high paying job which will suck about 12 hours a day of wo... 21 Nov 08, 12:11:40

The location of the work is not a problem but I want to continue with the line of work which i am in at the moment but there are very few jobs on the line regarding civils/structural work, and I have not had a res... 21 Nov 08, 11:11:14

My boyfriend and his mom both insist on buying me Christmas presents. I don't want anything becuse my parents can't afford my family presents and I have no job. I don't want any presents, because I get the joy of giving rather than recieving.
