St Albans: CPA and Financial Analyst?
I am interested in finance, but in college I plan to peruse a Master's in accounting (so I can take a CPA exam) and then just have a Bachelor's degree in finance. Are there any jobs out there that tie both finance and accounting together? (remember I will just be coming out of college, so I'm low on options) Or would it be better to just get a PhD in finance in grad school? I'm just curious about anyone's opinions on what would be a more favorable path to take :)...

St Albans: WHY NOT MR.K.P.S.GILL or MR.J.F.RIBEIRO AS HOME MINISTER ? ? ?
In the wake of recent terrorist attack on Mumbai, the resignation of Mr. Shivraj Patil is a welcome step or not can be a matter for debate among people but Mr. Chidambarm’s new portfolio as Home Minister cannot be termed as “Right person at Right place”. The reason being; The present economic scenario of the world is dark with clouds of recession hovering around and the cascading affect of which in no time would percolate down to India also. Under the circumstance, there was need to have a person as Finance Minister from a background who understands World Economy better and could tackle every jolt that would be knocking this country with his vast knowledge and experience. Mr.Chidamb...

St Albans: All I really want is to be a good wife and a good mother?
I'm 22 years old. I have been married for 1 year. My husband is a cop. I attended a good college on a full scholarship for 2 years with a 3.95 GPA. I stopped attending college temporarily, then I started working as a nursing assistant, and I wanted to evaluate my life. Honestly, all I want is to be a good wife, a good mother, and a writer. I'm a naturally domestic person; I love to cook, clean, cater to guests, etc. I also want to be a mother, very much so. My husband and I want kids, and we were trying, but I had a miscarriage very early on. Essentially, I took the pregnancy test, it came out positive, then we went to our doctor to confirm the pregnancy, and two days l...

St Albans: What to do before grad. school for MBA (finance)?
I'm a little confused as what to do after undergrad. I spent my first 2 years of college at the university of wisconsin, but school wasn't my priority there at all.... my 4th (and final) semester there, i got a 3.5 gpa, so i'm hoping that shows the potential I had... but it was all too late to get into the business school. so I transferred to a mediocre college in Minnesota where I plan to graduate with a double major in accounting and mass communications with a gpa of 3.7 I've volunteered for the past year and a half, but haven't had a serious job because I wanted to focus on school and getting my gpa up where it belongs... so this is where I'm at.....

St Albans: I need a certified accountant in Canada to answer a 5-10 minute survey?
Hi, I'm looking for a certified accountant in Canada to answer a few questions for me. If anybody has time, please just reply with your answers. It'd only take maybe 5-10 minutes? It's for a small assignment I have to do in school Just a few sentences per question would be great. Thank you so much. The Questions: What's your name? How old are you? Where and when did you acquire your accounting degree? Your Duties a) What do you do at work? Are there daily, monthly and annual duties that need to be performed? b) How long are the hours? How much work is there to take home? c) ...

St Albans: What have those evil Tories done to get people back in work?
Oops, sorry. Thought we'd already had the General Election. Those good guys from the People's Party are still in power aren't they. I'll rephrase: What are is the LABOUR government doing about getting the unemployment figure down? (Apart from giving the Party Apparatchik's cushy little, very well paid civil servant jobs). http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/3202393/UK-unemployment-jumps-most-in-17-years--as-downturn-bites.html...

St Albans: Want to switch to an accounting career and need to know how I can transition over to that field?
I was once an IT professional but found a niche for accounting experience about 3 years ago and I decided to stay with it. I have experience doing accounts payables, accounts receivables and payroll and would like to move further along in the accounting field. I went back to school and got a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. However, my business degree is rather generic where I didn't really concentrate on anything in particular. I did manage to take intermediate accounting aside from the intro accounting/finance courses that was required. I lived in Rhode Island and then moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina for a while where I got some great experience (about 1 year) d...
