If you can't make a credit card payment due to unemployment, does the credit card company forgive you? Do they let you go and not report you to collection agency?
If you can't make your car payment, can you still keep driving that car? If you can't pay for your asthma prescription without health insurance, will the pharmacist give you the medication for free?
Then how can the government give FREE money as bailout to corporations who are not able to pay their own bills? That too without asking anything in return. A blank check of $800 billion?

4 board members of both R J Reynolds and Phillip Morris appeared before senate Democrats to plead for a 11.5 billion bailout. It appears the economic crisis had hit the sale of cigarettes quite hard. When you do not have a job the first thing that goes is your pack of cigarettes. I guess the executives wanted to go under the publics' radar since their request is being overshadowed by the big three automakers.
