Southend: what should i say when i call?
okay so there is an online job advertisement for a waitress at a retirement home near me, that i really want to apply for. but the ad only said call the retirement home and ask for so and so to set up an interview.
what do i say when i call? eeek! i get terribly nervous.... :S
my plan so far is something like:
'hello, may i speak to so and so?
-----so and so - hello?
me-hi, my name is ___ ____ and i saw that you had a job opening for a waitress,and i was interested in setting up an interview.

I was just wondering, that when applying for a job in a retail store, is it better to apply online or in store? Because my friends have gotten jobs at stores I wanted to work at but I dunno if they applied in store or online. I've applied online mostly and never had a response....

Southend: What mobile phone/pda...with a good organiser is best?
I live in the UK and I need a new phone, however I already have a good contract with vodafone so would like a phone/pda i can transfer my sim card to.
I've looked online, however there is an overwhelming amount of information on different phones! Blackberry's look good, however I feel that maybe you pay more for the label? I need a good organiser as I am a law student, and I also have 2 different jobs so Im always on the go!
Can anyone recommend a good phone with a good organiser/good features for around £200? Thanks for any answers!...

alrighty. to make a long story short and sweet (i know that's not the correct saying), let's start with the basics. My parents divorced when i was five (old enough to be affected by divorce, might i ADD). And I went to live with my mom and gramma. Southend: Full-time or Part-time. What are most job looking for these days?
I'm 21 & is currently unemployed. Whenever I am filling out online applications, I get worried that if choose full-time they'll be looking for somebody to work part-time & if I choose part-time...well you get the idea. Plus, I definitely don't want to choose seasonal/temporary.
