Southampton: Advertisement Flyer agency business...?
So my little brother needs money but we aren't exactly the people to get jobs to be screamed at under someone's rules
so we are very independent...anywho...
I heard you can go around to small businesses and sign contracts to advertise for them and they'll pay you when you go door to door handing out flyers that you print yourself
Anybody got any advice on how to pursue this sorta business deal?... 23 Nov 08, 04:11:56

Southampton: Advertising/Marketing or Music Industry? ADVICE!?
I'm planning on tranferring to University of Texas-San Antonio and major in Music Marketing, but I'm starting to have second thoughts. I would love to work for the music industry... but i'm not so sure I could make a decent living pursuing that dream. Another side of me is very interested in advertising, due to the creativity and, let's face it, a possibly steadier job income. To be honest, I don't know many people in either industry, what it's like to work for either, or salary. So anyone who has had experience working for an advertising agency or music/radio/marketing industry-- I would REALLY appreciate some information. Just things like what did you do at yo... 23 Nov 08, 09:11:42

Southampton: MBA with a Criminal Record?
Hi! I am a computer science major and am thinking of applying for an MBA to change careers and aim for the big bucks. I have pretty good scores/gpa etc and hence would probably get an admission. However, about 5 years back while I was a stupid guy recently out of college, I ended up getting charged for performing some lewd acts in public while partying with some of my drunken crazy pals during a weekend. This was a misdemeanor offense and the charge was subsequently sealed (not expunged) by the judge since this was my only brush with the law. Even though the record is sealed from private employers and companies, it would still be accessible by many government and licensing/regulatory agencie... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:22

Southampton: Can you tell me what you think of my admissions essay (F.I.T.)?
Julia Kim
F.I.T. Admissions Essay
I am Julia Kim, a small pigment of talent. I was born within a family line of artists consisting of a fashion designer, abstract painter, graphic designer, and an interior designer. I had always been a creative person even back when I was in grade school. I was that little girl who would sit in class and just draw things here and there all day long, and get in trouble for it. I was the girl who looked forward to school projects which involved making a model of something, or creating a poster, or carving pumpkins, or making a diorama of dinosaurs. I don’t remember the last time I ever bought a birthday card because I was always happy to make my ow... 22 Nov 08, 11:11:49
Southampton: Unemployment? I was laid off...?
Unemployment? I was laid off, but...?
I wasn't an employee
At the end of February 08 a real estate law firm hired me as their office clerk/ secretary... they told me that they'd pay me $12.50 an hour, and possibly in 3 months they'd make me a salaried employee w benefits. Well that never happened. Fast forward to the beginning of November they said that they were going to have to let me go. It's a time were finding another job is a bit difficult and I have bills. Because I was in a contract position (no taxes w/held- no agency involved), does that mean that I can't file for unemployment? Also from 01/07-12/07 I was a salaried employee, at a different fi... 22 Nov 08, 09:11:31
