Southampton: Can I take a personal loan using collaterall?
I have fallen behind in my student loan and credit card payments. I have a credit rating of 500. I own a mobile home, it is fully paid for. It is a 1963, but if very good shape. I paid 33,000 for it :but homes of the same year but smaller sizes have sold in the same community for 50,000 ( in other words I am not sure of the real value ). I am now making regular payments on the student loan but I am very far behind on the credit card. Long story short the credit card company has offered to let me pay half the amount to settle the dept ( 6,000 ) and I would like 4000 to catch up on car repairs, and other bills. I am looking for 10,000. Is it possible tp put up this mobile home as collat...

Southampton: Can anyone tell me please?
Can anyone enlighten me as to why the civil service seem to be furiously advertising jobs (whose salaries will be paid by the taxpayer) when everyone else is getting laid off? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/jobs/3492912/Bonanza-for-jobs-but-only-in-public-sector.html If the country is in so much debt and we are trying to save money, why don't they cut back on civil servants? Check out the scrolling job vacancies on the bottom right of this page. Here are some more: http://jobs.guardian.co.uk/jobs/government/ 638 at the moment. So, if you are unemployed, have a look. The government are the biggest employers in the country. I read that they are now employing 10 mill...

Southampton: What Does Valet Parking Benefit You Career Wise?
I've been working Valet Parking at a local Casino for a year now. I am pursuing a Criminal Justice Degree in January at Kent State University. I am also working toward my EMT Certification at Jefferson Community College on Ohio. I was wondering what Valet drivers benefit from career wise? Will certain jobs think that being a Valet Driver is good? For Example a passing score on the Civil Service test, Will they look at the driving experience or what? Help me out. I am 18 years old and I actually have a Civil Service Exam on January 15th. Thank you for your time! MATT P- I agree, There are some stingy and quite ignorant people who drive 45,000$ cars that won't give y...

Southampton: Stuck in a Job Rut- how do I escape?
I am a bright, articulate 22 year old. I have been working for over three years and my experience encompasses retail, customer service and administration ... I'm good at it, but hate it. I am a passionate and creative individual; I paint, draw, write, photograph, sing, sculpt and dabble on the keyboard. I know the work experience I've got is good concrete experience to have- I've worked for a Blue Chip Company and the Civil Service ... but I desperately want to shift into the creative sector. I have some experience as a freelance photographer- but not enough technical knowledge to be able to take on a position in a studio. I'm passionate about music and have buil...

Southampton: Do you think this is just the PC brigade hanging together?
60 teachers have signed a petition in support of Sharon Shoesmith the leader of Haringay social services, and this doesn't surprise me at all. The more you read about this vile case the more you think that the PC brigade have total control, they are more concerned with taking people to court over inconsequential matters, or fining people for having an ounce more rubbish in their bins, than actually doing the jobs they are paid to do. Civil servants that we pay for, like her and her motley crew of inadequates. Why should they stay in their cushy jobs and get away with murder. The child may have been killed by three lowlifes and i sincerely hope they get suitable punishment, but whe...
