Southampton: Demand Justice for Karley the puppy?
Johnson remains un-arrested, in his Riverside County home on paid administrative leave while the brutal beating of his neighbor's 6-month-old puppy, Karley - which resulted in a crushed skull, dislocated eye, broken jaw, and broken nose - is being investigated. The puppy had to be euthanized because of the degree of her suffering and the fact that she sustained permanent brain damage. Johnson admitted to the horrific crime which occurred on Monday, November 3, 2008 but is claiming he acted in self-defense. He placed his hands inside Karley's mouth to break her jaw and nose, in addition to crushing her skull via repeated blows to the head with an 11-inch rock. The pu...

Southampton: was becoming a veterinarian worth it for you?
I am 17, and currently a HS senior and I've wanted to be a vet for 2 and a half years, when I became interested in Biology and adopted 2 shepherd mix dogs from the shelter. I love animals, specially domestic animals, so I want to be a small animal vet, or radiologist. I know it could be 8 to 10 years. I'm not exactly a straight A student, although I got all As and 1 B in 10th grade because i love biology. Also, im from a low income, single parent home so i can imagine i wont be exactly rich during my college years, although a vet can get paid 60,000 a year up to 100,000. PLZ i need help from someone who went through this or is going through pre-vet/vet school. also, im kind of la...

Southampton: I need a German-speaking editor? Fluent speaker is preferred!?
I am trying to translate an essay into German. I wrote it in English first, then tried to translate it by myself. I am not very confident in my translation, and need someone with superior German skills to find any mistakes that they can! Thanks so much for any help you can give!! Here is my text in German first, and then in English below: Deutsch: Kafka denkt, dass Menschen Sklaven zum Geld sind. Was uns Menschen bildet, ist unsere...

Southampton: Question about animal cruelty?
I'm a care giver for an elderly lady. She has two dogs. One of them is not house trained yet and the nurse I work for says that if I don't put her in her cage every night (because I told her I am not comfortable doing that) She will find someone who will. I get in a 9am and leave at 7pm. I can't lose my job, but I can't fathom putting that poor sweetie in a cage for 14 hours. What should I do?...

Southampton: what's her problem? ?
I asked my mom if I could volunteer at an animal shelter earlier this week, she said that i was being self-centered because I relied on her for transportation and the place isn't exactly right down the street. She said I needed to get a job instead. I was upset..but I accepted it. So the other day I found an opening at K-Mart for cashier and I tried to apply online. I asked her for my social security number because that's what it asked for, and she said that she wasn't going to give it to me because I would still have to rely on her for transportation and she doesn't know what hours she'll be working at a part-time job she was planning to get. i tell her that there w...

Southampton: Why do some Christians look at the bible literally and others not literally?
If its God's word. I'm sure the guy meant what he said, so why do some people try and defend Christianity and the bible by saying not to read it literally? And to Christians who do read the bible literally, do you actually believe: -Noah lived to 950 years of age -Jesus came back to life after death -Talking snakes in a perfect garden -A woman being born of a man's rib (for all you feminists) -Jesus being born to a virgin -The earth being made in 7 days -The earth being only 10,000 years old -Moses parting an entire stretch of sea -Noah being able to gather every known animal on the planet(millions) -Jonah being eaten by a whale and living inside of it...
