News Articles on Government Jobs in Solihull
Solihull: Do you think it would be wise for government to ?
institute a work program like they used in the 30's? Instead of just giving people money who had lost their jobs by putting them on welfare, they created public service jobs. So instead of just giving someone unemployment when they are layed off, wouldn't it be better to pay them that same amount for actually doing something that would make our country better off? They could still keep looking for a different job, but we would be getting something for the money instead of just doling it out.... 23 Nov 08, 09:11:58
Solihull: Since the government would make millions of dollars from marijuana why isn't it legal since cigs are legal?
When I asked why cigarettes are legal since they cause cancer, even cause cancer with second hand smoke, cause emphysema, contain carbon monixide, etc. I was told that mainly it was because of the $$$$$. The government makes big time money from cig taxes as well as it provides jobs.
But if marijuana were legalized, that would create a lot of jobs-and jobs are needed now more than ever-and the government would make millions every year from taxing it.
People will not stop buying marijuana whether it's legal or illegal kinda like why prohibition was a failure -so why doesn't the government just make millions of $$$$$ from it instead of getting nothing?... 23 Nov 08, 09:11:53
Solihull: WHY ARE CHURCHES TAX FREE (PART 3)?
PART ONE******************
churches take in alot of money by their peers and all churches are tax free. So what do they do with all that money? Charity, NO? because all i see is more tax-free churches being built, or churches extending their church, free food cook-outs, fancy signs, and propaganda like crazy (like little booklets).
if churches are not able to pay their own taxes, wouldn't it be capable of dying out?
wouldn't that prove christianity wrong?
don't you agree that churches should exist off it's own people and if they are not capable of coming up with the money like any other faith, then shouldn't that church die out if necessary?

Solihull: This question is geared toward the opponents of gay marriage. Why do you think gay marriage is wrong?
This issue has been going on for the longest time. But frankly, it has really hit a high note ever since the vote to pass Proposition 8 in California passed. I've browsed Answers and time and again, I see gays saying over and over, We're not hurting anyone! or Stop the hate! . So many words get lobbed back and forth and it doesn't seem to end. So I'm going to give you a list of just why gay marriage is wrong and why it should be kept illegal and/or unrecognized by the US government. This pretty much sums it up for why gay marriage is wrong. If this doesn't open some eyes, I don't know what will:

Solihull: MBA with a Criminal Record?
Hi! I am a computer science major and am thinking of applying for an MBA to change careers and aim for the big bucks. I have pretty good scores/gpa etc and hence would probably get an admission. However, about 5 years back while I was a stupid guy recently out of college, I ended up getting charged for performing some lewd acts in public while partying with some of my drunken crazy pals during a weekend. This was a misdemeanor offense and the charge was subsequently sealed (not expunged) by the judge since this was my only brush with the law. Even though the record is sealed from private employers and companies, it would still be accessible by many government and licensing/regulatory agencie... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:22
Solihull: Should I buy AIG when it's below $2 a share?
According to my little research, AIG seems to have a future plan to reconstruct their operation. in the meantime, US government gave 85 bill loan to them to assist them.( I don't know if that was a good thing to bailout AIG) some people said AIG is more important than the big 3, but big 3 actually provide more job than AIG according to wikipedia. So my question is that since government bailout AIG meaning that AIG will have the capital to reconstruct their business, they will probably get back on track at any time. So should I buy AIG at this time when it's still below $2 a share?

i'm getting ready for colleges and i'm not sure what to go into, i don't want anything with science because i'm not good at it, and math is boring for me too, i'm good at it but i don't want a job based around it. i think language arts isn't that fun because i don't like to read all of the time. and government isn't that great of a subject for me, and neither is history. i'm not sure what i like! i mean i try to pick a career and its like hmmm i eliminated every subject! i think being a lawyer would be fun, but i am shy, and also i would hate to pick the wrong side of the case, i am paranoid so that isn't a good career for me. any sugges... 23 Nov 08, 01:11:23
