Sheffield: Advertising/Marketing or Music Industry? ADVICE!?
I'm planning on tranferring to University of Texas-San Antonio and major in Music Marketing, but I'm starting to have second thoughts. I would love to work for the music industry... but i'm not so sure I could make a decent living pursuing that dream. Another side of me is very interested in advertising, due to the creativity and, let's face it, a possibly steadier job income. To be honest, I don't know many people in either industry, what it's like to work for either, or salary. I'm thinking about becoming a Marketing Manager, but I don't know how I would get to that position. I'm probably going to major in Business Administration, but where do I go from there? Is there an entry level job that you start at before moving on to becoming a Marketing Manager? Also, Is there a difference between these 4 job titles: Advertisement Manager, Advertisement Director, Marketing Manager, or Marketing Director? I'm a little confused. What/how much education would be best for this position? Please help. Any advice is appreciated....

Sheffield: Marketing internship in Sonoma County?
I am a senior at Sonoma State in Rohnert Park, CA. I am a marketing major, looking for an internship for Spring 2009. Would my best bet be to just search for companies in the area, and email them my resume? Or should i only apply where I know internships are available?
Does anyone happen to know any internships available in the area?
Also, how do i go about finding a job after graduation?...

I'm really confused with life right now... we'll not really with LIFE, but with what I would like to DO in life. Everyone around me is either in the military or a teacher. Those sound appealing, but not totally what I would want to do with my life. I'm going to be brash and say that I'm smart. Sheffield: Should I quit or get fired?
I work as a sales rep. Lately I have been getting really bad migraine headaches. Sometimes they get so bad I feel the room spinning and everything either goes fuzzy or I blank out. My boss is a pain. My sales haven't been as they used to. I've told him what the problem is, I've even brought him a letter from my doctor. He tells me I can either quit if its too hard or he'll fire me if my sales don't go up.
If I quit I know I won't get a severance package. But if I get fired will I be able to get another job when the market isn't so bad....

I'm retiring from the Navy as a certified welder and am relocating to the Kenosha area. I have no idea what kind of opportunities exist around there and need insight on the job market for the kind of work I'm looking for.
