Im an international student currently studying business in the final year at Sunderland Uni. I have been looking for a part-time job for the last 2 months and everywhere i went i was asked if i had experience. How can i have experience if they dont give me the job (considering im an international student)? It is not absoultey a do or die situation for me but important in terms gaining some skills and enhancing my CV. I also need to apply for a UK driving licence and nobody has the time to tell me how, which is why i have come here to ask you kind people for some help. Cheers!... 23 Nov 08, 12:11:54

Sheffield: Is California worse off financially than other states?
As a 33 year old student looking to transfer to a university (in a year) I am wondering about the educational budget; and, of course, a part-time job is needed to help me pay for college...but the crazy economy makes things a bit difficult and questionable.
Note: I am currently a California resident... 23 Nov 08, 09:11:15

Sheffield: Moving to Chapel Hill, apartment question...?
I am up for a job at the UNC hospital and I am wondering what are some of the good apartments down there? I am looking for something on the cheaper side because I want to save and pay off student loans. I am in my mid 20s so I would like something not complete college area but not a senior center. I am fine with living outside Chapel Hill. But what are the nicer, safer areas and what should I stay away from? What can I expect to pay right away? I am used to paying just a small deposit but down there do I have to pay something like two months in advance? Is it better to rent a house over a apartment down there? Also, I heard that there is a lot of roach infestations, which ones are th... 23 Nov 08, 08:11:24
Sheffield: Sad Depressed @ Confused!!!?
im SO upset! My boyfriend and I live with eachother we have our own apartment. We are both 21, and pretty much know we are spending the rest of our lives with eachother. I want a baby and to start a family within 2 years, if sooner. He just told me tonight he wants to wait 6-7 years!!!!!!!!! This is CRAZY!!! He is saying because he has 40,000 some dollars to pay in student loans, backrent, cell phone and medical bills. He wants to be financially stable first...which is understandable..but 6-7 years!?! We got in such a huge argument tonight over this! I mean even my mom said 'Kim, we arent rich and we raised you and your brother I mean, I understand both me and him working and n... 23 Nov 08, 08:11:35

I am interested in doing a little work on the side, although I'm a college student and have a almost-full-time job. weekend work is ideal. Sheffield: I love my Birth Control, but...?
I am a faithful user of Nuva Ring, and I really do love it. It has been the best BC for me (I've tried several), and I don't want to change at this point. The problem is the cost factor. I pay $56.00 every month because I do not have insurance, and it is killing me! (I'm a full-time college student with a part-time job. Money is tight!) Anyone know of something that works just as good as Nuva Ring? I'm looking for a BC that has minimal side effects but is a little more economical. I realize that I may be asking for something a little too good to be true.
Any suggestions are appreciated! :)
Yes, condoms are cheaper, but I don't need to take that risk right now. I... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:00
Sheffield: What should I aim my career towards?
Hey all, so I've just been thinking recently about what I'm going to do after high school. I'm not exactly smart, I'm an average (C's,B's, maybe an A) student. I really don't have anything going for me. I haven't even had a job yet. Although I do mow and til a lot during the summer for my dad at his shop and my grandma's house. I've been doing that for a couple years now, so I'm really good at that. My dad owns a sign shop, he letters trucks, paints billboards, all sorts of stuff, I've thought about taking over the business when he's done, learn from him (he's self employed). I don't exactly want to go to college.... 23 Nov 08, 06:11:07
