Sheffield: Is beauty school worth it?
I have attended community college for almost two years now, I feel like I am getting nowhere. I also feel that I am wasting my time and money on this piece of paper that is never going to make me happy.
I have always wanted to go to school for Cosmetology but have been discouraged by family members. I love beauty, hair, and make-up and fashion as well. I feel like this would be the best option for me and would make me very happy.

Hi there,
Well im 14 and i'm starting to think about what i want to be when i leave school. To me this sounds daunting , but ive been having a few idea's. I'm thinking about becoming a writer, like for a fashion magazine or something.
I know this sounds quite vague and indeed it is, basically i'm quite good at english and i enjoy writing, i also love fashion magazines, and beauty and all things girly :P

Sheffield: How do I ask for a raise?
I work in a retail beauty store, and I have worked at this store for 1 year and 2 months now. Before that, I worked in another large retail store for 1 year and 2 months. So, I have 2 years and 4 months total experience in retail, half of that with this company. Well, I still only make minimum wage! I work hard at my job, and I come in for extra hours 8 out of 10 times that they ask me (usually only 2 hours before they need me, too!).
To top that off, I have found out that at least 7 girls that work there make more than me, 4 of them have been working there only 1/4 or 1/2 of the time I have! My friend that started when I did makes the same as I do but she has no previous retail ex...
