Richmond: Engaged and so confused?
I'm 21 years old, I'm in college and I had been dating this guy for a year. He is my first boyfriend and we are completely in love.
Last week, he proposed to me and I said yes, but even while I was saying it, I was having doubts. Not about us, but just the fact that we are so young??
I never imagined in a million years that I would be engaged this early in life. I always thought I would graduate, get a job, travel a little, and be single until I was at least 25 years old.
I mean, we aren't going to be like getting married tomorrow, so it's not like I'm pressure for that... but I'm still worried. I'm really worried that we might break up or somethin... 22 Nov 08, 08:11:07

Richmond: What jobs are safe during these hard economic times?
I recently graduated with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and was offered a job from an Oil and Gas service company as a Field Engineer, and another job offer from Union Pacific Railroad as an Engineering manager (Operations Manager). Both of them pay about the same.
I have no idea which one to g for. But as you know, many companies might be going out of business in a few years from now, and I wanna work for a long lasting company. I just do not wanna get laid off after a year or so.
Any advices?

Richmond: Is there an online resource for beginning teachers who are relocating?
I'm about to graduate in a couple of weeks, and I'm seriously considering taking a job offer to teach secondary English a few hours away in a small town that I have never even visited. I can't afford to wait around for an opening in my county or any of the surrounding ones.
My concern is that I'm moving to a new place with a new job in the dead of winter (ours is not a warm climate). It's a small town, so of course there are no apartment listings online. Would it be considered appropriate to ask the personnel department at the board office if they know of any available places to rent? When I do finish my student teaching and visit the area, I'll be able t... 22 Nov 08, 01:11:56
