Richmond: Can You Hep Me With My 401k Dilemma?
I had a 401k account account with a previous employer; after leaving the company I rolled the remaining balance (a meager $1,900) over to a rollover IRA...which now stands at $1,300.
Here's the deal, I'm not contributing to that Rollover IRA, so my balance is shrinking at an alarming rate. Although, $1,300 is not a lot of money, it's still mine, and I don't want to lose anymore.
So what should I do, the funds I have in it are: BSCFX, FCNTX, FDIVX, and FFFX. I'm considering taking the money out, and facing the penalties, since I'm most likely going to lose that small amont of money anyway. I mean--I don't see the point of leaving it in the Rollover IR...

Richmond: my credit is horrible..i have 9 bad accounts...would it benefit me to pay them off??/?
i will still have bad credit and still not be credit worthy???
i lost my job and had to get a much less paying one and can't seem to get caught up......

Richmond: What are alternatives to collecting unemployment?
I quit a part time job to work from home as an independent contractor. The company dropped their contractors, and now I am out of work.
I have been trying to get a job for 4 months and have no income coming in and nothing saved. I went to apply for unemployment, and I was told I was not eligible because I quit my part time job and the contracting job did not count since I was not considered an employee.
I was wondering if anyone knew where to go from here? I am actively searching, but I have a negative checking account, overdue bills and creditors are calling because of non payment on credit card bills. I do not have enough to pay rent when it comes due on the 1st of December.

Richmond: 29 week preemie, miscarriage few months ago..pregnant again..should I take extra precautions?
I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. After two years of trying and fertility meds I finally got pregnant feb of 2006. I had my beautiful daughter at 29 weeks. (She is alive and healthy after a long stay in the NICU) My husband and I started trying to get pregnant again, and after quite a few months, I got pregnant. This was back in the spring. me and my friend Karlee are going to go to go shopping tomorrow which is going to be Friday and I would like to have some shops to go to. Richmond: Getting laid off soon, do employers have to tell us?
I am positive I will be getting laid off soon. The corporate company that I am working for has closed a club, and I handle all accounting aspects of this club. I have not been informed that they closed the club, but hearing things here and there I know it has been closed and am thinking that there is no reason why they should keep me. My questions is, if my employer has known about closing this club and knows that all it's employees will be out of a job, is there any law that is for employees where if the employers know that by 12/31/08 there company will be shut down they have to inform their employees???...
