Reading: My mother is a alcoholic...Advice?
O.K I will try to keep this as short as possible but My mother has been a severe alcholic since I was a little girl. The worst thing of it all is that she would drink and drive (horrible right). After 4 DWIs and about 7 years in prison I finally have my mother. I have never really had a relationship with her because she was always drunk, and my father took custody of me and my brother. She has been out of prison for about a year now and she has been doing amazing, her husband, (my stepfather) stayed with her while she was in prison and they are back together again, she has a wonderful relationship with God, and I have never known this side of her in my whole life. I am now 23 and have a chil... 20 Nov 08, 08:11:05
Reading: Hotel Manager or Photojournalist?
Ok guys, help me out.
First of all, I've never worked in a hotel. But, I am currently taking classes that will pave my way to become a hotel manager. I have what it takes and with this career, I wouldn't really have to worry about stability because I intend to work in Las Vegas, where there are many hotels looking for managers.
Then again...I am utterly addicted to taking pictures, traveling and learning new things (esp. languages) I can picture myself living a life behind the lens...and I'm not talking about pursuing a career in taking pictures of weddings, birthday parties or sport related events. I'm talking about the kind of photographer who'll snap... 20 Nov 08, 07:11:16
Reading: Move around... or stay in 1 place?
My husband is a government contractor that is required to move around ALOT. In Sept I decided to quit my job in Western NC and travel with him. Presently, we are in VA, but only til April. However, most assignments are 2 - 4 weeks. Recently, he was offered a job at the location he is currently working. This would mean that we would officially move here, or close by. The offered job is $15,000 more a year. However, at his current job, he gets per diem, and we pay nothing for housing or utilities. Those things considered, we would be losing money. But, with the way it is now, I can't really work because we move around so much. So, if we stayed here I could get a job and make up ... 20 Nov 08, 04:11:11
Reading: A few questions about pregnancy, abandonment by husband, and my rights.?
I'll go ahead and give a brief summary before I ask my questions. Okay, currently I am eight months pregnant and at four months pregnant my husband abandoned me and my two other children from a previous relationship for another woman who happened to be married to his cousin only two months prior to this. Keep in mind this was a PLANNED baby. He left me with all of our bills because everything had to go in my name because he owed everyone (light company, water company, phone/ dsl...etc.) and I was unable to work at this time because I had been in and out of the hospital several times with complications (severe dehydration from not being able to hold down liquids - the 'morning'... 20 Nov 08, 01:11:38
