Portugal: Does anyone know the answers to these questions ? They are for my Business Law class... Thanks?
TRUE / FALSE 1) The words I promise to sell my house for $50,000 constitute an offer. 2) The promisor's intention that his or her promise be legally binding is not required for the formation of a contract. 3) The statement, I promise to buy from you all the coal that I need in my business next year constitutes an offer which is reasonably definite. 4) Not all terms of an offer need be expressed. Some may be implied. 5) If a contractual performance becomes illegal after the offer has been accepted but before the performance has been rendered, the offer is terminated. Portugal: Is my recruiter lying to me?
I got a 93 on my asvap earlier this year when i was planning on going into the airforce. I decided not too, i stayed in school for a while more, now i am set on going into the marines. I am supposed to go to MEPS soon, but I want to know what jobs i will have a choice from... my recruiter said i wouldn't know until after meps, but thats also where you take and oath and sign the contracts. The old heads at my job (i am the youngest in my crew of electricians at the power plant), are all former marines, and many have been in either the army or navy. when they found out i didn't know my job before i hvae even gone to meps they told me i was getting fucked over... am i missing somethin...

Portugal: will the cost of aviation come down in the future?
I wonder if the cost of aviation will come down in the future i have plans that i want to buy a small plane first and then use it to train in it to keep it cheaper. now i was able to pass a 2nd class medical so i could possibly fly for some company but no so sure as i did nothing with it due to finincial reasons i am out of debt but at the same time i dont want to throw a whole lot of money into it. i plan to get like a used cessna 150 i know a bit cramped or a cherokee something along those lines but not anytime soon. p.s i work for dominos full time averaging a little under 30k a year and i am also working on learning a wood shop job with my dad. so when he retires we will get into it....

Portugal: Im looking for a good job once I leave the Navy in a few months, what are my options considering my experience?
I started out a deck seaman, then I did some work with a construction batallion, and then I became an Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class. I would like to be a civilian again, but I dont think that my options are too open; I dont think the pay will be worth getting out of the military... Any prior servicemembers who have any advice?...

Portugal: I want to save/rescue people in the military. What can I do?
Ok I want to save people. I have seriously considered being a coast guard rescue swimmer but i want to be in the military. I want to be either air force, navy, or marine (I don't think army is for me but I'm not yet completely eliminating it). I'm a women (college freshman), I know this dramatically cuts my rescue options down, but what can I do? I thought about being a flight surgeon because I really want to be in a plane but after looking into flight surgeons they aren't really involved in rescue. I've also considered aviation. Someone mentioned SERE which sounds like an awesome job but I want to be more involved with rescue itself. What options are there for women...

Portugal: Is being an air traffic controller worth looking into as a possible career choice?
First off, I DO NOT want to be rich. I only require to live in the NJ/NY area. I am in high school and am doing fine right now. Basically, as long as I can afford a nice house (under 1M) and a nice car (like a used Mercedes) my life will be fine. Haha, in all seriousness though, that is really all I want. A nice job with a comfortable salary and a nice pension for when I decide to retire. I am really interested in aviation. However, I have a lazy eye so I cannot become a pilot. Some people have pointed me in the way of air traffic controlling. I have heard this is arguably one of the BEST if not, THE best job you can get without a college degree. Now, bear in mind, it is no p...
