I worked in a small cable dispatching office, everyone in the office was either related or together romantically or best friends with one of the other two. Now on Black Friday I was off work, I got called at 830am to see if i could come into work because no one scheduled to work showed up to work, I did not go into work b/c i was simply unable to go in without notice. So, on Monday I had to call in because I had some legal things I had to get completed by 9am on Tuesday morning. Penzance: Is it wrong of me to ask for a raise?
I've been working at a small country grocery store in PA for nearly two years. I've gotten nothing but great reviews, my managers love me (not being cocky, just saying), I work my tail off compared to some of the other girls there. I work hard, get stuff done, and I am able to do almost anything that the girls who are above me do. I found out that one of the two girls above me is quitting and i will be taking over her two her major responsibilities. I started my job making $7.00/hr and i am only now making $7.50. I work in an HR department were there is my manager and another co-worker who is above me. I have been there for 8 months with no problems. I was sitting in a meeting with a committee both my boss and I are on. We had all volunteered to be on it and taken on roles. I frequently do my bosses roles, because she asked me to. This is not a problem for me, but people know that I do it and it makes me do disproportionately more work in the group. Penzance: Asking for a raise when your boss isn't friendly...?
I've been working at the same company for 3 years now and have yet to recieve a raise. It's a small company so no HR. I'm pleasant with my boss but not super friendly and feel akward asking for a raise but I know that if I don't ask I won't get it.
I'd love some suggestions and pointers on how to ask for one. I've never asked for one at any of my previous jobs before, they were always given. And I feel that since my relationship with my boss is not as personal as his with other employees it might not help my cause

I need some money after my day job (40 hr day job). How can I become a taxi driver to pick people up from the clubs (short 3-4 hour shift per night)?
I do have an accident and several speeding tickets... no dui or anything worse.

while pursuing MBA in India, we had dual specialization and i chose Marketing and HR, mid 2001 and 2002 job market was not that good in HR field in India then, so i had to take up jobs in BPO Sectors as CSA I worked till Jan 2005 for two international contact centre, including my internship for BBA and MBA i have a gained little exp in HR administration for a year so i have around 3 years exp, 2yrs in BPO and 1 year Internship exp in HR(recruitment). I am 34 year's old woman, married with a child. I recently discovered that one of my big bosses, a CFO in his 50's ( who is not my direct boss) has gone onto my pc and copied or tried to copy my music from my itune without asking me. It seems to have happened a month ago while i was not there. I discovered this when I opened my itune (which i rarely do) and found his name under where it says who's folder and all the songs i didn't recognized. Penzance: Can I do anything about a consistently late paycheck?
I recently moved to southern California from the east coast and have been working at this job for about 3 months now. I am paid semi-monthly so I'm scheduled to be paid on the 10th and 25th of each month. My paycheck has always been 2 to 3 days late and actually never cared (I didn't want to make a big deal out of it). This time however, it' been over a week and I still have not been paid.
