Nottingham: How do I get an Associative Arts degree in Addiction Studies?
I am going to community college and obtaining my general education requirements. I want to get an Associative Arts degree in Addiction Studies at the same time so that when I go to a University for my last two years I will have a higher paying job (addiction counseling) to fall back on while I am in school. How can I obtain an Associative Arts degree in addiction studies online? I would like to avoid taking classes in this realm throughout my general education studies at regular community college because my schedule is full of other classes geared toward a major in Journalism. I would like to do the addiction counseling as a side thing. Are online schools reputable? Where can I find them? Do... 22 Nov 08, 07:11:42

Nottingham: What should I expect from a seminar?
I recently go layed off from my job and the company offered us lee hecht harrison for 30 days. I called the company lee hecht and they said they start with a seminar on resumes ect they give you a code where you can search for jobs online. Do you think this will be basically a teaching class or something I'll have to voice my opinion. I'm shy and want to know what maybe to expect. And how many people are usually required for a seminar? I mean is it possible there might only be a couple of us?

Nottingham: Do I qualify for any grants?
I don't know what I could qualify for. I'm a 26 year old woman, I have a jewelry-making business (it's just me, no employees, and not full-time), I'm an actress and member of SAG (already applying for grants through SAG and the Actor's Fund). I do odd jobs and am starting an online business... I own a home (er, a mobile home). Not sure what else might qualify me for something.... advice? What grants could I get?... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:46
Nottingham: I'm 14 - can I get a job in Indiana?
Well, I'm 14 and I want to start saving up for a car and college. So far, I've made most of my money selling stuff off eBay. Now, I'm starting to run out of stuff to sell. I also want to get a new cell phone with internet (my parents already agreed - as long as I can make the monthly payments). I'd say I can sell another $500 of stuff and then I'm done. I'm also getting sick of eBay stuff not selling.
I don't really live in a neighborhood (well, I do, but, mowing lawns, raking leaves, etc. isn't an option, let's just leave it at that), and all the online jobs I've found aren't working out either. So, I did a bit of research on c... 22 Nov 08, 05:11:53
Nottingham: What do you think will happen if I ....? ?
My bf and I of 3 months are going through a really hard time now. He's 49, me 37. I have been so upset lately I don't know what to do at this point. I don't want to completely smother him but I care about him a lot and see potential in him. Within one month his father died, he found out he has to admit his mom into a nursing home and he's been really stressed out about finding a more fulfilling job. The problem is that, despite how supportive I've tried to be throughout this whole thing, he is still shutting me out - not returning calls or texts, not calling to check in, etc. which is not like him. When I confronted him about it he says we are still ok as... 22 Nov 08, 04:11:14

Nottingham: Is there an online resource for beginning teachers who are relocating?
I'm about to graduate in a couple of weeks, and I'm seriously considering taking a job offer to teach secondary English a few hours away in a small town that I have never even visited. I can't afford to wait around for an opening in my county or any of the surrounding ones.
My concern is that I'm moving to a new place with a new job in the dead of winter (ours is not a warm climate). It's a small town, so of course there are no apartment listings online. Would it be considered appropriate to ask the personnel department at the board office if they know of any available places to rent? When I do finish my student teaching and visit the area, I'll be able t... 22 Nov 08, 01:11:56
