News Articles on Jobs Available in Nottingham

Nottingham: Is there an online resource for beginning teachers who are relocating?
I'm about to graduate in a couple of weeks, and I'm seriously considering taking a job offer to teach secondary English a few hours away in a small town that I have never even visited. I can't afford to wait around for an opening in my county or any of the surrounding ones. My concern is that I'm moving to a new place with a new job in the dead of winter (ours is not a warm climate). It's a small town, so of course there are no apartment listings online. Would it be considered appropriate to ask the personnel department at the board office if they know of any available places to rent? When I do finish my student teaching and visit the area, I'll be able t...

Nottingham: Am I quietly losing the game of life?
Okay, I'm going to try and fit as much of this in here as possible: I'm twenty years old, have a semester of college under my belt (took some gen-eds), drove across the country to california over the summer, and my transmission died. No problem, it was great. I had a blast. After staying there for a couple of months I caught a plane back to my hometown, and now I'm living with my aunt who i think is having some sort of mid life crisis. Unfortunately, I have nowhere else to go right now, but that's fine. I'm dealing with it. For the most part she just drinks wine and talks about conspiracy theories , and I ignore her. Since I cant afford another...

Nottingham: Why do people here think that there is a huge pool available for finding qualified people for 8,000 gov. jobs?
A thinking person would realize that there will be people appointed to positions that have been in previous administrations. Some will have served under Presidents 40, 41, 42 &/or 43. Or did some of you think that Obama had 8,000 brand spankin' new people just waiting in the wings somewhere until he became the President? I can't imagine that there are more than like 3 or 4 people who are qualified to be Sec. of Defense or Sec. of State or Attorney General....

Nottingham: How is multitasking used in management?
Usually when you start to work for a ie, construction company in contract admin; you are given 2-3 projects at a time to work on. Given that time and cost are the key targets, and if most junior contract administrators work on a death line to complete all projects using multitasking skills, why is it that there is always many vacancies available in that job category. Experience could be the answer, or are there any other especial techniques available to solve this....

Nottingham: Moving to Baltimore, where should I go?
I'm 26 and a college dropout. My parents kicked me out of there place, I didn't do anything bad really, they just think I'm too old to be living with them. So I went a greyhound station and the only bus available was to Baltimore. So I got a ticket and will be there by 11am. And yes it was stupid but my life has been pretty boring and I have nothing to lose so figured I would go on a whim. I never really been to Baltimore, just drove through it. So I don't know what I'm getting myself into. I don't know anyone down there either. I have a feeling I'll be homeless for a few weeks, so anyone who can direct me to a working class area where I can get...

Nottingham: Is There Any Online Home Based Job That Doesn't Require Fees, Referring Somebody,And NOT A Scam?
Well I'm just an unemployed graduate for more than 2 years unfortunately becuase I live in a third world middle eastern country that doesn't even care about its citizen as most of our governments here, I'm highly educated to a masters degree in one of the leading countries, I also had an international outstanding research certificate from another leading country, but unfortunately in our countries in the Middle East we have nothing but humilation and we have no jobs to look for, my question is I'm going to look for the online jobs, I can be a data typist, or any other available Jobs, but I'm always stuck with the following difficulties: 1) SCAM Jobs, and they are fi...

Nottingham: What options are available for a young couple looking to adopt?
Hi everyone. I'm a young woman who is looking into adoption. My partner and I are both women, and we live in Victoria, BC, Canada. I am19 and she is 23. We are married and my wife holds a full-time job. I don't work yet because I am waiting for permanent residency paperwork, but once that is done I plan to work part-time while I finish my nursing degree. My wife and I are financially and emotionally stable and we would like to look into adoption as we feel we are nearly ready to provide for a child. Are there any resources out there, any good agencies, or anyplace we can get more information? I understand that we will have to wait a little while longer before we actually go i...
