Nottingham: is it too late? some career advice?
hi. i am doing my undergrad degree in bioengineering right now. i have chosen this major cos i love biology and i used to be good at maths and physics. and i chose this one over biomed sciences cos i think it's more challenging and the career prospects are better. now i found out that it was a huge mistake. after all, i am not enjoying the extra maths and physics from my engineering degree course and the little or nonexistent biology component of it. i recently read an article about 'women in science' written by an academic from MIT and i knew where i went all wrong. i have a very friendly, bubbly and helpful character which makes me better suited for jobs that are more pe...

Nottingham: Am I Too OLD For A Career In Fashion?
Just to explain a bit about me... Im 32, single, no kids, no money, left school with no qualifications and have done lots and lots of different jobs. I have enough of drifting as my friends and family call it and agree I do need to do something with my life. I have always loved clothes and at school I wanted to be a fashion designer but admittedly did nothing about it and was far too concerned with having a good time. Since then the only interest I have taken is what I see in magazines. Am I too old to make anything out of this? Im prepared for any hard work that is needed and for the first time in my life I am actually excited about learning but can mature students do any cou...

Nottingham: Any police officers that can give me feedback about the job?
Thinking about joining a big city department and looking for advice. I know it's dangerous. In the end is the job worth the time you put in? Is it worth the stress, shift work, loss of family/friends lifestyle? I'm late 20's, married, with a son and looking for a career change, but don't wanna lose my family or my health in the process. I know the divorce rate is sky high. I just want the real from those that are doing the job or have been there. IS IT WORTH IT? God Bless...

Nottingham: Becoming a Chef vs. a Photographer?
I've been indecisive about what I want to do with my life my WHOLE life. All through grade school and high school, it was a different idea every month. I was supposed to go to a private college in MIchigan, but when my parent's jobs transferred to Arizona, I decided to go to ASU to stay close to them. I could NOT cut it at such a ridiculously large school, so I dropped out. Since then I've gotten married, my husband is in the Army and was sent to Korea for a year. I've been going to a community college, and i hate it. I just really hate going to school. I graduated high school with high honors, in NHS, with gold cords...I just don't know what the problem is. ...
