Norwich: 1O POINTS: Housing benefit enquiry?
Hello! (sorry for the misspells but I'm not local)
Well, I'm 23 years old and I get 54 pounds as a weekly housing benefit because I'm redundant. Also I have a 25% discount on my council tax benefit because I'm a single tennant in my flat. Because I been made redundant and I'm the only occupant of my flat, I pay £13.00 pounds as a council tax.
Now I would like to share my flat with a student but I don't know if my benefit will be affected or not. The issue is that students are not allowed to pay council tax, so I would like to know if:
1) I will lose my weekly 54 pounds or the Council will just decrease it? My monthly rent is 340 pounds, ... 22 Nov 08, 07:11:22

Now, I cannot apply for any credit cards because I am not a permanent resident.(in this Dec, I will have my interview for my residency). So my husband called up Discovery credit card to add me under his name. However, I am not a prime holder.
so all the billing and every thing is under his name.
Does it mean that I have a bad credit?
Also, how can they use my social security number to investiga... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:21

Norwich: American student considering transfer to UK university?
I'm a current college sophomore with a 3.2 GPA at a fairly large (27,000) person university. I also received a 1290 on the SATs out of the 1600 scale. I have always wanted to go to a university in another country and believe the UK would give me the perfect mix of a familiar language with a more international setting. (my current university promised an international enviornment but did not deliever at all.) I have thought about study abroad but after much research have discovered it would not give me what i really wanted and found that actual transfer would be more beneficial and educational for me.
I am wondering what universities in the UK i could get into with my current recor... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:36
