Norwich: Who pays for other peoples sick pay, maternity pay, jobseekers allowance etc?
I was just wondering, who pays for these things? My friend has been laid off from work and is on job seekers allowance (dole) and my other friend commented about it saying 'all us working people are paying for it' but surely hes paid his national insurance and tax, so hes entitled to this? Am abit confused by how the benefits, national insurance and tax works and what it pays for. Thanks... 21 Nov 08, 06:11:04

I dont know much about the BNP but what I do know is they want to send people home who do not belong here, anything over that I dont know. but they seem to have gathered so much hate from people.
My question is if most people are against sending people back to their home countries what other soloutions do you have? the Uk is over populated, people have more children now, people live older, children are having children, asians have more than one wife and more than one family (or some do) and us English lets face it were popping kids out like they are going out of fashion. Norwich: does anyone else hate the people at the job centre?
well basically ive been signed on with them since the 7th of october, and payments are supposed to start when you sign on. well ive had no money off them (i am entitled to job seekers allowance). but i was told i had to fill out the form ST1, which was totally irelevant to me, because the questions were for students and people who had suspended their course. i used to be a student, but i completed my course in june of this year and i told them that. well they made me fill it in, so i had to put N/A on every question.
it was sent to them over 2 weeks ago, and according to a woman i saw the other day they had it, but they werent doing anything with it. and im just so p'd off with them... 19 Nov 08, 09:11:36

We just wondered whether he could claim any allowance seeing as he will have a small amount from fire service (very small!!). God knows we've paid enough in taxes and NI in the past - why not get something back wwhile he is looking!!? Thanks.... 17 Nov 08, 11:11:13
