Norwich: why do Joey porters comments on michael vicks plight gain more attention than our gov's ineptitude.?
In a time when the average american has trouble making ends meet from one month to the next, why would anyone care what Joey porter thinks? it seems to me we as a people should be far more concerned with the inability of our elected officials to do anything to help us (the tax paying american citizen) have a fair chance to enhance our lives, i.e. have a decent paying job or get decent affordable health care, or get a decent retirement payment after working a lifetime to line someone Else's pockets. get real people. These pro athletes , rock stars, poor little rich kids and other public figures are the perfect example of what is wrong with this country. We really need to get it together ...

Norwich: Nonsmokers: How do you vote on proposals to ban smoking in public places & raise sales tax on cigarretes?
I for one always vote in favor of them. I am sick and tired of these inconsiderate azzholes blowing smoke all over the place. Every time I walk by them I hold my breath to ensure I don't catch any of their 2nd hand smoke. And raising sales tax on cigs to fund museums, arts, & sports stadiums, ....hey it creates jobs. It helps the economy. And since smokers are addicted, they will gladly keep paying higher prices to buy their cigarretes. I wish it were realistic to ban smoking alltogether, but it's not. People who are currently addicted could die if they suddenly stop smoking. but at least we can do everything in our power to encourage them to break their addic...

Norwich: baby . p,, - the system, cafcass, and the law , a frightning thought..?
my heart and sumpothy gos to baby p, neglected and rejected let down by law,- Mine is a close story, a true one, and my view is these 'mistakes' as its called will by immoral vigilantes in our social care whom think there ‘god’ will in fact just carry on and on, until we the public give just cause and explain exactly what we want… A loyal, unbiast, monitered, protective trusting, power, but this involves every sector, whom is on the other hand- , sexist, unethical, and not wanting to do there job,say for a few, bogged down unable to make a difference, Why do I say these words so harshly, my facts are, the police are corrupt, they see a man and a woman with crocodile tears,...

Norwich: What if the company you work for, The boss has their four favorite employees who are costing the company money?
If all you can see, is poor grammer and not the issue at hand, Then move on. I'm needing some advise about a issue, not a lol on your behalf. The company I work for, the last 8 months has lost alot of busniess, Due to the Bosse's four favorite lazy employees who can due no wrong. I have trained one of these employee's myself, and now do another job with one of the others. One of the jobs I have is to report when seeing others goofing off on company time. Month after month I have seen these four goofing off, and have reported to my supervisor, boss, owner of the company, there is no one else to report it too. I have been looking for another job and unable to find anything. Peop...

Norwich: What do you do for a living ? Is your job...?
currently in jeopardy with the economy? It seems every sector of the economy (public and private) is being effected.. I work for a municipality and most people think our jobs are safe. Our city managers have been trimming our budget/city services for two years, and now are in the process of eliminating staff . We are losing our revenue with stores closing by the scores; less food and beverage tax and other sales tax income for the city; residents not able to pay their tax/utility bills. Many of the other municipalities in our area have laid off 5 to 40 workers. Could you answer by naming your career and if you see your position being eliminated any time soon? How can our gove...

Norwich: First date girl advice?
I met this girl online. She emailed me and we soon then started talking through text messaging. We then moved it to AIM. I said I definitely felt a connection, she said the same. Anyway we plan to meet up (she's working two jobs and had her shift covered so she could go out with me) and last night we meet for mini golf. She calls me right before and asks where I am. Next thing I know she is walking through the doors on her phone (with me) and she smiles and we hug. All throughout the game we are standing close to each other, she is playing around, like tapping her club on mine, trying to make me mess up, talking a lot, etc. Oh and she was talking during one hole and said how...

Norwich: Dont know what to do with myself ?
Im a 17 year old kid. I quit school in eleventh grade, and cant seem to find a job anywhere. I guess i never really realized how pathetic my life was until i quit school because it use to consume most of my energy. I spent most of my time off school on the computer playing a video game, and i pretty much lost all contact with my friends by the end of tenth grade. After i dropped out i got my GED in a day, and by the end of that month my girlfriend had left me, and yeah i understand... I dated her since about 6th grade so it was kind of hard on me to lose her. Anyways during the week i spend about 3 - 6 hours looking for a job, and then i head home to pretty much do nothing. Im kind of hopele...

Norwich: Becoming a Chef vs. a Photographer?
I've been indecisive about what I want to do with my life my WHOLE life. All through grade school and high school, it was a different idea every month. I was supposed to go to a private college in MIchigan, but when my parent's jobs transferred to Arizona, I decided to go to ASU to stay close to them. I could NOT cut it at such a ridiculously large school, so I dropped out. Since then I've gotten married, my husband is in the Army and was sent to Korea for a year. I've been going to a community college, and i hate it. I just really hate going to school. I graduated high school with high honors, in NHS, with gold cords...I just don't know what the problem is. ...
