Norwich: Is beauty school worth it?
I have attended community college for almost two years now, I feel like I am getting nowhere. I also feel that I am wasting my time and money on this piece of paper that is never going to make me happy.
I have always wanted to go to school for Cosmetology but have been discouraged by family members. I love beauty, hair, and make-up and fashion as well. I feel like this would be the best option for me and would make me very happy.
Although I am recently married to my long time sweetheart who is currently serving in Afghanistan. He plans to retire from the Army, so we are in it for the long haul. Would it be worth it for me to spend the money for beauty school, and would it be right for ... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:17
Norwich: Am I Too OLD For A Career In Fashion?
Just to explain a bit about me... Im 32, single, no kids, no money, left school with no qualifications and have done lots and lots of different jobs. I have enough of drifting as my friends and family call it and agree I do need to do something with my life.

Since then the only interest I have taken is what I see in magazines. Am I too old to make anything out of this? Im prepared for any hard work that is needed and for the first time in my life I am actually excited about learning but can mature students do any cou... 22 Nov 08, 02:11:06

so maybe i could become a nurse, the salary is good and i help people but i hate the job
when you choose your career, do you choose because you love it or you want to make a good living with it. I got a good education and if i become a designer, my education could be a total waste... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:25

Well im 14 and i'm starting to think about what i want to be when i leave school. To me this sounds daunting , but ive been having a few idea's. I'm thinking about becoming a writer, like for a fashion magazine or something.

Please can you get back to me, saying what kind of jobs fashion magazines offer to writers. What these jobs include, how i can get into it and what its like.
