Newquay: Is This Big Bang Stuff For Real Really?
Is there any truth to the big bang? For years I thought it was about that freaky stuff that Sting is into but now I hear it's about science. I'm really concerned because I left school years ago so I could better prepare for the end. My parents were with me on this, in fact from about the age of 18 months they trained me with flashcards saying things like 1914 and 1975 and I was really good at it even though the cards kept changing. Something else happened though and I guess I just didn't want to admit it or see it. About three back my dad went back to school into the sixth grade and he says it's looking good he'll be promoted to grade seven so...

Newquay: Does distance matters ?
Hi guys, do you consider distance as part of the factor when you are on the look out for a job? My situation here is I am currently doing a part time degree in town area and my classes starts at 7 promptly. Recently, I have applied for a job that is not really near to my studying place but it is a great opportunity because I will be really gaining some good experience. To add on to that, my parents was actually against the idea as they felt that I will give up half way due to the fact that I am studying part time and the place is far. Sorry guys, they actually call me up for an interview this coming monday.Initially, I agree. During the weekends, I had a thought about it and changed my mind....

Newquay: what do you think of starting a rough marriage all over again?
alright little background,,we got married really quickly, was only together for 5 mths before we got married,we eloped while on vacation so none of our family,(not even my young daughter from a prev. marriage) was there with us,then after we were married he left a month later to go on a 6 mth deployment,(navy)..that was 5 yrs ago this past May..it has been one very rough and bumpy ride to say the least,we have had so much trouble and have almost split up many times.but we are finally doing great, just had our 1st baby this past March,(little boy) and he is getting out of the navy in about 4-5 mths. we're moving back to my home town, both have great jobs and a home waiting for us when we ge...

Newquay: Have you ever got what you wanted only to realize you were silly for thinking YOU knew what you wanted?
As children we ask questions. What will be when we grow up? What will we look like? Will I be kind/good or selfish/bad? Who will we love and who will love us? As we ask these questions we slowly grow up. Time moves slow. We wait for Middle School. Then we wait for what feels like a decade and we finally have our license to drive. Then we graduate. Some continue school others pursue different ventures. We meet a person and for our individual reasons we marry them or make a child or simply give our hearts. Time speeds up. We now have jobs and start purchasing assets/liabilities. We get promoted. We fill our albums with loads of photos to capture the moments of greatness and a few of the moment...

Newquay: Should I make it work or just leave and move on?
I am 22 years old and I've been married for 3 years almost. I'm with a guy who i love dearly but I'm just not in love with anymore. I feel like I am young and I am wasting my time. I know that that is horrible to say but I want to be honest. There is no passion from either of us. Sex is weeks in between, we fight often, we work crazy hours and never see each other. I don't know, I am so confused. All of my family is telling me to leave but I don't want to give up on something that might just be going through a tough time right now. I know that every relationship has problems, but ours just don't seem normal. I just feel like I cannot trust him anymore. One of my...

Newquay: What is innapropriate interactions between coworkers. ADVICE please! !?
I just started a job at a clothing store. I'm still new and make a couple mistakes but aside from that have been very well. But my co workers and managers treat me with such disrespect for reasons unknown to me. I dont understand how it could be personal, I dont have a personal relationship with them. But if its something work related as a person in training I would assume they would talk to me even yells at me but they dont. They act like a high school clique. They ignore me, when I try to be friendly they act rude and roll their eyes, when I ask a question they blow me off and then laugh with each other. I left work crying. I tried talking to them they acted as if nothing was wrong an...

Newquay: Has anyone ever driven down Pike's Peak without brakes? (this mountain is in Colorado, 14,000 feet high)?
A few years ago, my car lost its brakes because I had air in the lines after doing my own brake fluid flush job at home. At altitude the air in the line expanded and my brakes were non-functioning. The pedal went right down to the floor. Also, when I changed my brake fluid, I put the wrong type in and it ruined the rubber seals on the master cylinder, so that also wrecked things. Anyways, it was a nice drive up and the scenery was breathtaking. But the drive down was even more breathtaking. I put the car into LOW (1st gear) in my automatic equipped car and slowly came down the mountain, pulling off to the side pull-off zones to let the other drivers pass by me. I was only going ab...

Newquay: How is the economy effecting your wedding plans?
In light of this very shaky economy where people are losing jobs left and right, I'd love to hear what changes other couples are making either to engagement plans or wedding plans. Weddings effect the couple, and of course the people paying for them, if not the couple. But there's also the issue of family who may have to travel to attend. How are you guys dealing with this in these unsettling times? Has anyone postponed their wedding, or nixed the big wedding, etc.?? My boyfriend and I have picked out my engagement ring and I'm waiting (patiently) until I get it in a few months. I know we have to continue to move forward with our lives, but the future is so uncertain. Th...
