Newquay: Becoming a Chef vs. a Photographer?
I've been indecisive about what I want to do with my life my WHOLE life. All through grade school and high school, it was a different idea every month. I was supposed to go to a private college in MIchigan, but when my parent's jobs transferred to Arizona, I decided to go to ASU to stay close to them. I could NOT cut it at such a ridiculously large school, so I dropped out. Since then I've gotten married, my husband is in the Army and was sent to Korea for a year. I've been going to a community college, and i hate it. I just really hate going to school. I graduated high school with high honors, in NHS, with gold cords...I just don't know what the problem is. ... 22 Nov 08, 05:11:26

Newquay: Career hit a nose dive, kind of my undoing. Need advice, please!?
Hi there,
I work in health care. I am finding it difficult to adjust to. I'm also a new grad and have been working for a little over a year.
Lately, I have been feeling a lack of confidence on the job. I've mistakes here and there, but I somehow can't let go of them. My mistakes are with me when I go to sleep at night. It's a tendency to be a perfectionist.
I am trying to boost my confidence by reminding myself about every achievement I've made so far in my career. The mistakes are minimum compared to the right decisions I made at work.
How do you boost your confidence at work? It's difficult when nobody is there to say hey, I appreciate what y... 22 Nov 08, 03:11:09

Newquay: Why am I still single?
It has been about 1 year since my last relationship ended.. Im not a big dater I lived with my ex and invested alot o myself emotionally into the relationship. It seems to me the relationship ended due to career jealousy and his insecurities. I am a professional athlete in a male dominated sport, and am finding it hard to meet someone who can support what I do and understand what I do...I am very different from other women in my field.. And I feel men stereotype me because of what I do. I wish I could meet a guy and not let him know what I do so he can get to know me for me and not get caught up by my career... Any advice???

Newquay: What to do after A-levels?
I'm currently in sixth form, studying for AS levels in,
Maths
Further Maths
English
History
and Art,
with the hope of completing A-levels in all but Further Maths (which I would just take to AS).
Talks have started at my school now regarding Universities and career paths, and I'm feeling completely left behind because I have no idea what I want to do with my life!
I would like to go to university, and I don't want to work in an office; nothing wrong with it, but for me, staring at the same four walls every day would be hell. And that is it. That's just about all the ideas I have regarding further education and careers.
So, any suggestions?
I know it's diffi... 21 Nov 08, 10:11:35
Newquay: Do you know of any good places (online) to take tests to find a career path, if no, please read anyway...?
I'm in 11th grade and for the longest time I've had in my head that I wanted to major in advertising design when I go to college. But while looking for colleges and reading more info about it, I don't think I'm too sure that's what I wanna do anymore. And I'm having a really difficult time figuring out what I wanna do now. I'm graduating next year and I really need to figure this out (I don't wanna be in college not knowing).
So are there any good places online to take career tests? And do you have any advice on what I should do? thanks =]
