Milton Keynes: Why do many Republicans look down upon minorities?
It's as if they think we're an inferior species or something. Many say that they were there first and that minorities parasite the good, old-fashioned American people , but I find it odd that a country founded by colonizers who spent most of their time driving off Native Americans from their homes and villages and killing many of them complain about minorities taking their jobs and such. I wish to know, why do many people look down upon minorities? Besides, I've heard Americans complain about us Puerto Ricans, but did you know that we're American Citizens because of the Spanish-American war? The United States acquired Puerto Rico and yet people c...

Milton Keynes: advertising and graphic design degrees in Miami?
I have an Associate of Science in Graphic Design which basically taught me all I really need to know with the programs used in Design. I got lucky and managed to land a job as a graphic/web assistant for an online curriculum publisher. However I want to get a bachelors and the only place I can afford is FIU and the closest thing to Graphic Design they have is Advertising. What can I do with an advertising degree and Graphic design experience? Especially here in Miami? Would it be better to get a bachelors in something else? Like Hospitality Management? I do live in Miami and that is a good business here in case I can't find work in design afterward. HELP! Any opinions or...

Milton Keynes: I would like to move to the USA, and get a green card how?
I am a British citizen with dual Irish nationality, though I am not the most attractive of applicants with a basic secondary school education I have always had a dream of moving across the pond. Unfortunately, as life does, things have always got in the way until now. I'm confused by the vast amount of information on the internet but I think I would qualify initially for an H2B visa, but suspect if I wanted to stay on when that finished I would be breaking some sort of rule if i wanted to stay or become a full citizen (if that was possible?) so I'm not sure if this would be the right route to follow. Also, if this were the case where do I start applying for jobs (from the UK) befor...

Milton Keynes: Waiters: DO you love the hospitality industry? ?
Why or why not: Back Story: after climbing into the industry two years ago, My second job has always been bartending or serving. My first (9-5) job is Marketing. It is always hard to find a position that starts at 6:00 PM. . . but I have managed for a few years. In my particular case now, I am in desperate need of advice. I accepted a cocktail waitress position in August at a wine and martini bar in a great “yuppie” neighborhood over a choice bartending position downtown. After speaking with both owners I believed the martini bar would be a better place to beef up my bartending skills, service attitude and perhaps move to management in the future. The mar...

Milton Keynes: retraining versus crappy job i like.?
I left uni during my first year and have been managing ever since in the hospitality trade doing pubs, clubs, wine bars and restaurants. Its probably the only job I can imagine myself doing and certainly the only one I can think of I would actually enjoy doing. Problem is, it doesnt pay that well, the hours are awful, it takes over your life and isnt the most reliable of professions in the world. Mr dream would be to continue doing this job while still relatively young at 25, working abroads in US or Canada but it seems that this is going to be impossible thanks to anal immigration laws. I know I wouldnt enjoy it, but I have been considering re-training for a career in IT but dont know...
