Milton Keynes: How To Destroy A Computer With Electricity?
I told my mother that my computer got destroyed in a recent storm and she said she would by me a new one if its unrepairable. It looks like it was just the hard drive that was destroyed (fixed for $200) but I really want a new pc. So im going to finish the job myself. She said shes going to get a pc repair man to look at it so it needs to look legit.
I want to stuff it all (memory, video card).
I was thinking of running an electrical surge through it?
maybe turning off or jamming the fan and leaving it on till it destroys (flies) itself.
any good ideas, i really only get one shot at this. Mothers been promising me a new pc for ages and hes my shot. Thank you... 22 Nov 08, 10:11:07
Milton Keynes: USN Reserve to transfering into another branch?
I am a 2nd class in the Navy reserve and honestly miserable. I've completed 2 years of my contract and have another 4 years left. I joined the Navy to be a FMF corpsman active duty, they would not give me the job because there were no spots open for women, so they contracted me for intelligence in the reserves. However, MEPS wouldn't accept any of my vision waivers (the job requires 20/20 with perscription, I tested 20/25 at MEPS and they wouldn't accept my waivers stating that I see 20/15 with my perscription) so they contracted me for construction in the reserves since I would not go active duty for a job that I don't want to do every day for the next 4 years.

Milton Keynes: Have you ever got what you wanted only to realize you were silly for thinking YOU knew what you wanted?
As children we ask questions. What will be when we grow up? What will we look like? Will I be kind/good or selfish/bad? Who will we love and who will love us? As we ask these questions we slowly grow up. Time moves slow. We wait for Middle School. Then we wait for what feels like a decade and we finally have our license to drive. Then we graduate. Some continue school others pursue different ventures. We meet a person and for our individual reasons we marry them or make a child or simply give our hearts. Time speeds up. We now have jobs and start purchasing assets/liabilities. We get promoted. We fill our albums with loads of photos to capture the moments of greatness and a few of the moment... 22 Nov 08, 07:11:09
Milton Keynes: Has anyone ever driven down Pike's Peak without brakes? (this mountain is in Colorado, 14,000 feet high)?
A few years ago, my car lost its brakes because I had air in the lines after doing my own brake fluid flush job at home. At altitude the air in the line expanded and my brakes were non-functioning. The pedal went right down to the floor. Also, when I changed my brake fluid, I put the wrong type in and it ruined the rubber seals on the master cylinder, so that also wrecked things.
Anyways, it was a nice drive up and the scenery was breathtaking. But the drive down was even more breathtaking. I put the car into LOW (1st gear) in my automatic equipped car and slowly came down the mountain, pulling off to the side pull-off zones to let the other drivers pass by me. I was only going ab... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:25
Milton Keynes: How much money do bus drivers make?
I really feel bad for most bus drivers. I assume they do not make all that much money. And they have to drive the same route every day, putting up with obnoxious passengers probably. It just does not sound like a fun job.
Yet, the bus drivers I know generally are incredibly nice people. They are generally male, and quite old (50 or older). I just feel so bad that these people are so nice, so old, and still making so little.
I was wondering, how much money do they make? And why do they tend to be so old, not having attained any higher positions?... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:17
Milton Keynes: Have you had something happen in your life that confirmed God's Existence for you?
I had an experience when I was in high school that just really solidified my belief. I was home alone and a tornado came through. Trees were falling all around me and I was completely terrified but I hunkered down in the hallway and started praying. Well no tree fell on our house or me. I also had another experience about a year ago. My husband and I travel a LOT for his job so we were coming home from Arizona travelling almost all the way cross country without stopping. I was extremely tired, driving a vehicle I wasn't used to, and it was night time and raining. We stopped to get a hotel room and I was parked in a weird position in the road. I went to back and turn around. I looked to ... 22 Nov 08, 06:11:29
Milton Keynes: Moving to Baltimore, where should I go?
I'm 26 and a college dropout. My parents kicked me out of there place, I didn't do anything bad really, they just think I'm too old to be living with them.
So I went a greyhound station and the only bus available was to Baltimore. So I got a ticket and will be there by 11am. And yes it was stupid but my life has been pretty boring and I have nothing to lose so figured I would go on a whim.
I never really been to Baltimore, just drove through it. So I don't know what I'm getting myself into. I don't know anyone down there either.
I have a feeling I'll be homeless for a few weeks, so anyone who can direct me to a working class area where I can get... 22 Nov 08, 05:11:29
Milton Keynes: Girlfriend paying for our first date?
My girlfriend and I have been together for about 8 months, and we both love each other very much. We're in a long distance relationship and so I get to see her about 3 times a month. We live an hour and a half away from each other. I'm unemployed, and have no money. But I live with my parents and they give me some once in awhile. I'm 18 and so is my girlfriend. My girlfriend got her first job at Target a month ago. And now she's making major bank because she works so much. Her and I haven't been on an actual date . Only because every time we used to see each other, we were with our friends. I might drive to her tomorrow and she said she wants us to finally... 22 Nov 08, 04:11:20
Milton Keynes: A relationship kind of problem?
See my girlfriend and I have been together for about 8 months, and we both love each other very much. We're in a long distance relationship and so I get to see her about 3 times a month. She used to have her friend to drive to me all the time. Recently I've been driving to her because I got my license. We live an hour and a half away from each other. Now about two months ago I got my first job (I'm turning 18 in four days). I worked at Abercrombie as a store model. It sucked, I got hardly any hours, and I quit. Since then I've been unemployed. I don't have more than $30 in my checking and savings combined! I live with my parents and so I still get some money from the... 22 Nov 08, 03:11:31
