Milton Keynes: I need some great advice on how to effectively bring my concerns to my manager. help?
I am personally having some strong issues with my immediate manager. She has often booted extra work onto me that really belongs to her. I am a lead in my department. She has openly told me she doesn't have the knowlege about how things are ran in our dept. she has no experience and I was told that in January I would be promoted to dept. manager and work side by side with her. OMG. I truly do not believe that. My current manager is inept. She has taken an urgent message from our customers only to wait until I am available to speak to them of if I am out of the office she will call me with the contact info. Once while I was doing a 3 day walk for local charity I got a call at m...

ok so me and my partner broke up about 3 months ago, well its been dragged out over these 3 months! Milton Keynes: How much charity is too much to be expected?
I need some outside opinions on this. A few days ago, I got up to a note on my door. It was from a man who said he and his wife had both been laid off and so they were going around trying to earn money by painting house numbers on the sidewalk. Well, my husband and I aren't exactly well-off ourselves, but we could afford to help out a little, so when this guy came around again, I gave him fifteen dollars (all I had on me at the time, which was triple what he'd asked for anyway), and gave him the standard If there's anything else we can do line. He thanked me and left. Yesterday morning at around eight, while we're still shuffling around in our jammies...

Milton Keynes: How do you get involved in Christmas Cheer or Christmas Charities in North Carolina?
My husband and I are both unemployed, he was laid off in October, and with our local economy (as with everywhere else) jobs are very scarce. We are already getting assistance from WIC, Medicaid and Food stamps, but due to no money, and what little we do get our hands on from selling things we run across we don't need, and from my dad who has been helping as much as he possibly can...we won't be able to provide for my little girl for Christmas. I have heard of a few Christmas Charities around the country, but Im wondering what all is offered around my area (Graham, NC) and how to get involved with them to possibly get assistance to provide my little girl with a Christmas....

Milton Keynes: What charity would you start?
If you could start your own charity, what would it be? I would start a homeless house. I would buy a big vacant hotel & renovate it. This would give people a physical address. Then I would help them in whatever way they needed help with whether it be counseling, therapy, safety, financial.... whatever. I would provide job training and financial management courses. Volunteers would provide the services and a thrift shop would provide the income along with charitable donations. That would be so much fun to me. Oh... I would also have a food pantry for people who aren't homeless but need food. So, what would you do?...
