I'm in 8th grade and have 3 choices of highschools, my towns school, a highschool where I'd have to take vo-agg (learn about animals and things like that), and an academy which looks pretty DARN good on college applications. I don't want to go to my town school because I don't like the people and it dosen't have that great of a rep., 2nd I don't really want to work with animals as a career I horse back ride now but I'd rather not persue it as a vetranarian it was 25 on the top 35 highschools in my state 3 - you can get MANY college credits (basicly skip alot of your freshmen and go straight to sophmore) it was won for having the best SAT scores and thi...

Milton Keynes: Career hit a nose dive, kind of my undoing. Need advice, please!?
Hi there, I work in health care. I am finding it difficult to adjust to. I'm also a new grad and have been working for a little over a year. Lately, I have been feeling a lack of confidence on the job. I've mistakes here and there, but I somehow can't let go of them. My mistakes are with me when I go to sleep at night. It's a tendency to be a perfectionist. I am trying to boost my confidence by reminding myself about every achievement I've made so far in my career. The mistakes are minimum compared to the right decisions I made at work. How do you boost your confidence at work? It's difficult when nobody is there to say hey, I appreciate what y...

Milton Keynes: What to do after A-levels?
I'm currently in sixth form, studying for AS levels in, Maths Further Maths English History and Art, with the hope of completing A-levels in all but Further Maths (which I would just take to AS). Talks have started at my school now regarding Universities and career paths, and I'm feeling completely left behind because I have no idea what I want to do with my life! I would like to go to university, and I don't want to work in an office; nothing wrong with it, but for me, staring at the same four walls every day would be hell. And that is it. I'm in 11th grade and for the longest time I've had in my head that I wanted to major in advertising design when I go to college. But while looking for colleges and reading more info about it, I don't think I'm too sure that's what I wanna do anymore. And I'm having a really difficult time figuring out what I wanna do now. I'm graduating next year and I really need to figure this out (I don't wanna be in college not knowing). So are there any good places online to take career tests? And do you have any advice on what I should do? thanks =] Some info about me: --I LOVE designing things. --I want a career that makes a good amount of money (so no...

Milton Keynes: So, I need some advice about my future career and what path I should take?
I applied to be a Philadelphia Police Officer in January of this year. The testing process began in May and I passed every test that I took. The night before my last test, the Phys. test, someone from the police academy called me and said that due to the city's recent budget cut, I would not be allowed to take my Phys. test or begin the Police Academy. I want to be a police officer though. So, that representative told me to try again in about 4 years. Well, now I am faced with the decision of what to do within those 4 years because I still need a job. My friends were telling me to go to a trade school for automotive and then in 4 years, go and be a cop. So, I talked to someone fr...
