Luton: Should I go to court for back child support and take my now 18 year old son?
My son turned 18 in July. His dad was recently released from jail one month ago. All of my son's life my husband (not his biological father) and I have raised him without the help of his biological father who spent at least 14 (not simultaneously) of those 18 years in prison for drug related issues. There was a child support order in place, but he always end back up in jail. Sometimes I wondered if he did things to get back in jail to avoid paying child support. I just got off the child support payment site and since my son is 18 I thought that they would have closed his case, but it's still saying OPEN. According to the child support site, during my son's 18 years of life he ...

Luton: Front page Yahoo News...when did the news stop being the news?
Right now on the home page of Yahoo News there is this wonderful article about how Obama will create 2.5 million jobs and rebuild America. I read the article - the whole thing - and there is not one mention of the cost or who is going to pay for it. Isn't there any ethics in reporting to give us the news? This is nothing but a PR newsrelease from Obama and it avoids the hard facts - why?...

Luton: Girls and boys...help me out here. How can I figure out this?
Hey..girls and boys, I have a great relationship with a girl. I've known her for years. She's 17. And I'm 14. I really like her..like, as a girlfriend. I already told her about that. She only considers me as friend, more likely, as a young brother. But she doesn't demonstrate it by far. I mean, she's always hugging me or kissing me. If we are in the street together, she holds my hand like if we were flirting or dating each other. She kisses me often( in the cheeks, of course) and if we go out together to some place, she follows me every moment. If I stay away from her, she will probably say that is missing me. So, it's kinda hard to believe that I...

Luton: Nonsmokers: How do you vote on proposals to ban smoking in public places & raise sales tax on cigarretes?
I for one always vote in favor of them. I am sick and tired of these inconsiderate azzholes blowing smoke all over the place. Every time I walk by them I hold my breath to ensure I don't catch any of their 2nd hand smoke. And raising sales tax on cigs to fund museums, arts, & sports stadiums, ....hey it creates jobs. It helps the economy. And since smokers are addicted, they will gladly keep paying higher prices to buy their cigarretes. I wish it were realistic to ban smoking alltogether, but it's not. People who are currently addicted could die if they suddenly stop smoking. but at least we can do everything in our power to encourage them to break their addic...

Luton: is it too late? some career advice?
hi. i am doing my undergrad degree in bioengineering right now. i have chosen this major cos i love biology and i used to be good at maths and physics. and i chose this one over biomed sciences cos i think it's more challenging and the career prospects are better. now i found out that it was a huge mistake. after all, i am not enjoying the extra maths and physics from my engineering degree course and the little or nonexistent biology component of it. i recently read an article about 'women in science' written by an academic from MIT and i knew where i went all wrong. i have a very friendly, bubbly and helpful character which makes me better suited for jobs that are more pe...
