Luton: Do you really understand what is at stake if any of the Big 3 fail?
This letter from ex-Ford spokesman Jason Vines, found at http://www.autoextremist.com, was too good not to share.
Katrina on Wheels...This Week's Last Word from Jason Vines.
We may never know the financial burden of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans directly and to other Americans indirectly. Some have pegged it at between 200 and 300 billion dollars. While we cannot stop hurricanes, almost everyone now agrees that more and better things should have been done prior to the storm and certainly in the days and weeks after the disaster.
What would those things have cost? Let's take a wild guess and say 100 billion dollars or half of ... 22 Nov 08, 05:11:55

there are many problem facing by the students such as after passing 12 th they have to go for the courses which they prefer but one barrier is the language, some of the student have to change their subjects due to language problem. and for now days placement is the main issues. if you read the articles there is not even one job in the market which prefer Hindi language, then why its so why our government is not looking in the matter. if you are saying we are one then why this type of activity is going on.... 22 Nov 08, 04:11:21
Luton: Anyone still think he's not a socialist?
Besides calling on former Clinton era people to serve and showing that there will be NO REAL CHANGE. Obama has now decided to put people to work building roads, bridges, schools, fuel efficient cars, and windmills.
This is not the governments job!
This is called socialism.
We have seen this same playbook used countless times throughout history, most recently in Venezuala.
It fooled them, and it fooled the stupid people of this country too.
Congrats.... 22 Nov 08, 04:11:27
Luton: baby . p,, - the system, cafcass, and the law , a frightning thought..?
my heart and sumpothy gos to baby p, neglected and rejected let down by law,- Mine is a close story, a true one, and my view is these 'mistakes' as its called will by immoral vigilantes in our social care whom think there ‘god’ will in fact just carry on and on, until we the public give just cause and explain exactly what we want… A loyal, unbiast, monitered, protective trusting, power, but this involves every sector, whom is on the other hand- , sexist, unethical, and not wanting to do there job,say for a few, bogged down unable to make a difference,
Why do I say these words so harshly, my facts are, the police are corrupt, they see a man and a woman with crocodile tears,... 22 Nov 08, 04:11:17
Luton: Do you think the government should bail out the BIG 3 Auto Makers?
From my own personal experiences I think they should NOT be bailed out. Who's bailing me out and giving me a new job? I got laid off in the construction industry recently and got behind on my truck payments, even part time night job wasn't enough to save my truck from being repossessed. I bought the truck for $25,000 for a six year loan put $10,000 down to make sure I'd pay it off sooner and have smaller payments, I had 2 years left to pay it off and was only 2 payments behind. General Motors/ Chevrolet repossessed my truck in the night and took it to a place 300 miles a way and sold it in one week for like $3,000 at an auto auction and didn't even try to work out a deal ... 22 Nov 08, 04:11:43
Luton: I have a requested meeting to talk to my administrator about job description and concerns I have?
I am totally lost at my job. I was hired 3 months ago. I had training from an employee who was filling in and worked under me.... and she had minimal training. It lasted 3 days before I had to ask to remove her from the work area. I couldn't work, I couldn't do anything she sat at the desk and I hung over her shoulder.. that is how it started.
I am a self starter. I was able to make the area my own a little bit. I brought to the new job my past experience and standards which DO NOT gel with this same type of company I work for. Yet.. I was told I was hired for my SKILL SET. I do remedial work which could be done by a secretary and feel this is THE MOST UNREWARDING JO... 22 Nov 08, 03:11:57
Luton: What do you do for a living ? Is your job...?
currently in jeopardy with the economy? It seems every sector of the economy (public and private) is being effected..
I work for a municipality and most people think our jobs are safe.
Our city managers have been trimming our budget/city services for two years, and now are in the process of eliminating staff .
We are losing our revenue with stores closing by the scores; less food and beverage tax and other sales tax income for the city; residents not able to pay their tax/utility bills. Many of the other municipalities in our area have laid off 5 to 40 workers.
Could you answer by naming your career and if you see your position being eliminated any time soon?
How can our gove... 22 Nov 08, 01:11:39
Luton: Can the Automotive Suppliers survive a GM failure? Where will Ford Chry. Toy. Hon get parts if suppliers fail?
Suppliers are down 50%. Many that were on the edge of failure have already gone bankrupt because of the sudden credit freeze. If GM fails that will throw sales down another 3rd off the 50% they are already down.
Ford, GM, Toyota and Honda will then be faced with another issue of finding part suppliers. Then what? They really just put the cars together anymore, they don't make parts.
When you hear about giving the big 3 a loan realize that the survival of the big 3 = the survival of anyone that has business with them. Millions of jobs!
The economy and the government can not handle that many job losses. Ohio is already running low on unemployment funds.... 22 Nov 08, 01:11:24

Luton: Who is to blame for Illegal Immigration? Starving Mexicans or the people that hire them?
I am glad to hear that Pres. Elect Obama has his eyes on Arizona's Governor, Janet Napolitano, for the head of Homeland Security. Mrs. Napolitano has a very smart approach to fighting illegal immigration. No, she is not in favor of building some nonsense fence around the border… she goes after the companies that hire illegals.
Honestly, the problem is really a guy who, out of desperation, left his family behind and came to the US to work at $4/hr or his employer that hired someone without papers?
Illegal immigrants are very poor, most don't speak English, are illiterate, and haven't gone through a background check. They accept very low salaries and cause the lowering o... 22 Nov 08, 10:11:17
