Lincoln: Career Problems any suggestions?
'm 21 living at home, Have had many jobs the past 5-6 years most which die out due to lack of hours, I'm barely able to pay the few bills i have cause i cant find anything steady. I also have NO clue what Career i want, i cant think of anything i would be good at or like doing that is doable. I feel i'm getting to old for this and want to get started on my life. I'm a huge movie person, the only things i can see myself enjoying would be maybe something in that field, you know like editing or something in the visual media arts, but i have no clue what that is even called. I feel lost and want to get started with my life. Any Suggestions on jobs or even what they are calle...

Lincoln: What kind of side business could I start that wouldn't be a conflict of interest with my current job?
I'm trained in all kinds of media (writing, video, audio, photography), but can't do a side job with a newspaper or such because I do news work for a local college. I already teach part-time, as well. What are some side ventures I may pursue, as I think 2009 may be tight financially if I don't put in some extra hours. My job projects a budget freeze soon, so no raise coming up. I can't do things like work for local newspapers or other media outlets, create my own newspaper/TV station, work 9-5 M-F, etc., as that would be a conflict with my day job. Ideas? Oh, BTW, I have much more free time when college is not in session and live in a wealthy summer community....

Lincoln: Read with courage, or pay no mind out of cowardice?
THAT DÉJÀ VU FEELING By Lynn Stuter December 2, 2008 NewsWithViews. com http://www. newswithviews. com/Stuter/stuter132. htm An estimated 67,000,000 Americans, we are told, voted for Barack Hussein Obama on November 4, 2008. A landslide we are told; a mandate for change we are told. The total population of the United States, according to the 2008 U.S. Census bureau estimates, is approximately 306,000,000. When we compare the number of votes for Obama to the total population, the percent who voted for Obama is 21.9%; hardly a mandate for change; certainly not a mandate for change of the type Comrade Obama has in mind. In total, an estimated 130,000,000 Americans voted; ...

Lincoln: how can liberals say?
that there is no liberal media bias when it's right in front of our noses? a perfect example of it is the sandra berhard tirade against sarah palin. i just heard about it yesterday and it happened last sept because there was little to no media coverage of it. yet when don imus made his nappy headed remark, it was all over the news and we heard about it for 4 months straight. plus, he was forced to make numerous apologies and still got fired from his job. has anyone demanded an apology from sandra and has she been banned from performing anywhere? sandra went on a swearing rampage and called her a goy which is a word used by jewish people as an offensi...

Lincoln: Question / statement to all people working in the Media!?
To anyone that has ANY say in what gets broadcast, written, televised, published, etc.....in the media Stop putting fear in to everyone with the stock market! The media has become the demise of our economy. It didn't start it, but it's having a very negative impact. Anyone who can't see that, needs to open their eyes. Every day, stocks go up and down according things that investors and brokers see and hear in the media. 75% of the down-fall of stocks lately is due to fears and speculation. It's rediculous. If the media would stop putting fear in to everyone, people would be 10 times more likely to stop hoarding money, they would get out and spend more t...

Lincoln: Will majoring in Creative Writing get me anywhere? (College help)?
Hello. I currently attend University of Houston and want to major in English Creative Writing because it is the only thing I'm good at... but would it get me anywhere other than being a teacher? I heard it was hard to get a job with an English major. I'm not that great of a student (I don't excel above most people) just an average student, I don't have connections at all or many friends. I do have a passion though in Filming. It would be nice to work with the movie or entertainment industry or help create movies or shows but I heard it would be hard to get anywhere if you don't live in L.A, California or don't even have connections. I doubt I can even move to L....

Lincoln: Courier Jobs Info wanted for new driver?
I am interested in a driving job. However there are a few issues I have come accross in finding the work.. 1) Taxi is out! I could not put up with the hassles that come with it in the way of drunk people, and non payers etc! 2) any other kind of public transport is also not appealing 3) I have a BIT of a dodgy back so cant do heavy items!! so i came accross the idea of courier service! This sounds just what I am looking for! the sites I have found say that the drop off items will be no more than 30kg so should be ok. this other site provides info but goes into insurance etc and i dont know what most of it means! http://www.courierexchange.co.uk/resources/media/10.pdf oh! I also ...

Lincoln: Are exit polls truly reliable?
Not to knock Obama in any way but the media has only projected a win for Obama using exit polling, so what happens if the exit polls weren't accurate or people lied about their votes? I know its kind of unlikely at this point but what if the official votes show that McCain won and not Obama? Would that not be the most horrible upset ever (lol) I mean its like someone telling you that you won the lotto and you get all hype... quit your job, make all this hoopla and come to find out its not valid or something. ...Just something to think about... again for the record, this isnt about bashing either Obama or McCain so no rude comments please.... and does any one know if the official GOVERNM...
