Lincoln: I have a question about a job offer description, read below:?
I have an interview tomorrow at an oil company. They have multiple positions available but I am going for two in particular. The first one is a day shift for $14/hr (in which it clearly states). The second is for an OVERNIGHT shift and the pay description is as follows: This long term opportunity pays up to 18.00/hr depending on experience. * If they are the EXACT same job, just different shift...do you think that it will be more than $14/hr? Does it mean they will pay me atleast $16-18/hr for taking on the overnight shift? *Also, the shift is from 10pm-6am. Do you think this is an advantage or disadvantage for a single college student (online classes) in her early twenties (21). Consi...

Lincoln: Where is the best place for a recent college graduate from the United States to live and work in Australia?
Hello, and thank you in advance to anyone who comes upon this question and can help me out. I am currently a senior at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Recently a couple friends and I have begun seriously kicking around the idea of moving to Australia for a year or more, depending on how things go. I was wondering what place would be the best for us in this type of situation. I was thinking Melbourne or the Brisbane area. We are all young and single and like to go out and have a good time so a vibrant city atmosphere is pretty necessary. We also would like to be around some nice beaches and everything like that. I was wondering what is the area (specific neighborhoods) that would be ...

Lincoln: Can I lose custody of my 4 year old daughter?
Me and my daughter's father are about to be going through a custody dispute. A little background. I have been her primary caregiver since she was born. Her father has come and gone out of her life so frequently. He has disowned his parents along with his brother and sister because they didn't want to keep my daughter in time out when they would come to visit. So because they didn't agree to her being punished when she was there he told them they will never see or hear from her again. They are/were a very big part of her life. Now the only contact she gets with them is because of me. I take her to visit them. Her father and her grandparents live in Jersey as I live in P...

Hi folks. I am in dire need of a job on line or close to Westernhills Ohio/ Cincinnati. I know everyone is looking for work and this is not a sob story, please no smart as# remarks- just asking a serious question as I have no where else to turn.. Thanks...

Lincoln: Read with courage, or pay no mind out of cowardice?
THAT DÉJÀ VU FEELING By Lynn Stuter December 2, 2008 NewsWithViews. com http://www. newswithviews. com/Stuter/stuter132. htm An estimated 67,000,000 Americans, we are told, voted for Barack Hussein Obama on November 4, 2008. A landslide we are told; a mandate for change we are told. The total population of the United States, according to the 2008 U.S. Census bureau estimates, is approximately 306,000,000. When we compare the number of votes for Obama to the total population, the percent who voted for Obama is 21.9%; hardly a mandate for change; certainly not a mandate for change of the type Comrade Obama has in mind. In total, an estimated 130,000,000 Americans voted; ...

I am XXXX an undergraduate student of Computer Engineering at the University of Tor Vergata. I am 22 years old and I live in Rome, my hometown. Lincoln: lonely and isolated when writing essays?
i'm a third year psych undergrad and have been quite happy at university 'til now. i feel tired all of the time and i have a lot of work at the moment. i've fallen out with many of my friends as they have either graduated and found full time jobs or are still getting drunk and messing about; which i do not want to do. it feels lonely when all you do is go to the library and study by yourself all day; i feel like the only one. i just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. i hear stories about people graduating then going to work stocking shelves at tesco; not that there is anything wrong with that (someone has to do it) but i came to university to make s...

Lincoln: Need a little help on life please?
Ok, my husband and I live in lower MI and we have 2 children. My hubby is a diesel mechanic and where we live there are not many job opportunities. Lately we have been talking about possibly moving to Florida. When we first got together we lived out in Peoria, IL for a job and would be moving away from family again. I'm half excited/half scared to make this leap of faith. So, I guess my question is: Has anyone else been in a similar sort of situation? Where you want to go, but you're afraid to leave family behind? We'll of course take the time to compare jobs, rent, insurance and all that and logically make a decision together, I'm just looking for some inpu...

Lincoln: Is the american dream still accessible with todays economy?
Is the American Dream still accessible with todays economy? Has the american dream turned into an american nightmare? What immigrants made it big in the 1900's? what did they accomplish? Does Barack Obama being elected the first african american president support that america is still the place for freedom and opportunities? I dont believe the American Dream is about stock and 401k's, its aboiut having the opportunity to actually succeed and get a job and make a living. Please feel free to argue with me as long as you support your arguement with sources. Thank you....
