I couple months ago I moved across the country to be with my long-term boyfriend. Everything has been great, and it's been the best thing I ever did for myself except with one little glich... I can't find a job here! Luckily I had saved up a little money and my boyfriend has been very understanding and supporting me through it, but I obviously don't want to rely on him the way I am right now forever. Lincoln: Should i take a job even though i know i will quit in 8 months?
I moved to a new state to get married, and now i am unemployed. Next fall i will be starting professional school full time, until then however, i need to find work to save up some money. This agency found me a job, and its a nice place, with nice people, but they probably think that i am in it for the long haul. Should i take the job, or should i continue to be unemployed?
Also, i have found that nobody wants to hire me when i tell them im in it for the short term, and i when i try to apply for labor jobs, people dont want to hire me because i have a master's degree....

Lincoln: Help please!!! Apartment troubles?
So my old apartment said i owed $1600 for damages($400 for blinds and $1200 for new carpet). Which we did not do (but cannot prove it), after a few months of getting the run around they said they forgot to pro rate it and said we owed now only $800. but now the collection agency people are saying they are going to charge us $2000 for wasting there time. I think this is a scare tatic just trying to get us to pay so he can get his job done. Can they charge us more than the apartment said we originally owed? also my friends suggest going and pay the apartment complex directly is this a smart idea? or after i pay them will i still get the collection asking for there money?...

My husband quit college in the spring and decided to go back to work. He has been unemployed for a couple of years now. He went through a period of depression after he quit school and was reluctant to go back to work in his field of experience. U.S. citizens who desperately need the jobs?
As we all know that many state/city/town agencies have been hiring illegal workers for many of their construction jobs(i.e. the bridge that collapsed in Minnesota) and I am just worried that once the rebuilding start in full force, those who get the most benefit of it won't be U.S. citizens....

I got this call from a person who works at a temporary job agency, I would be going to an interview this Thursday. I feel great that its one step closer to landing on a job because job searching has been tough for me these few months. I don't know much of about how the agency works, but do they hire directly after the interview or do they mostly send you to other companies and you have to go for a second interview from there? During the interview what do they typically ask of you?

Lincoln: How can I get a job handling detection dogs?
I'm finishing up a college degree and work as an intelligence analyst in the Guard. I see the CBP working narcotics dogs in the airports all the time and am very interested in learning more about becoming a handler. I'm not interested in police work but rather DoD gov't. I know I have a lot of options to stay in intel but I'm hoping that that training can help me get involved in a government canine program. Lincoln: AMEX canceled my credit card, seemingly for no reason. Cited two credit checks. What can I do?
So I was recently informed that my AMEX card was canceled. They gave me several reasons, but it doesn't really make sense.
They said it's because I haven't had the card for very long, which is true, I've only had the card for 4 months.
The next reason was because I haven't had a long credit history, which is true because I'm a Canadian immigrant and I've only had a social security number for over a year, but I've been building credit the whole time.
