I have been in a relationship with a man for 2 1/2 months and I have yet to see this man's home or family. He is very secretive about his career and will not discuss any part of how he makes money to live on. What ya think about this?
More and more of my friends are hitting the age where they should be getting married. One particular thing that I am noticing is that when they pick out potential dates, they look at things like: kind of car one drives, whether they went to college, what's their job, how much do they make, how are their parents, etc. I know why they are looking at all that but is this the right way to get married? What happened to love purely based on the other person's character and looks? Why do people need to discriminate against people who don't meet their financial standards? Marriage, it seems, is becoming more like a business...not love

Lincoln: working towards SSDI, out of work since 94, don't want to lose SSI?
I am a 35 year old mentally disabled man who would like to work towards SSDI. It's actually my assumption that if i am able to work enough quarters to qualify for SSDI, that should my parents pass away, which i don't want, but i worry alot because they are getting old, and they are somewhat careless, that them leaving me 2 homes, and a small condo, wont jeopardize me losing SSDI or medicaid. The income those houses bring in to my parents are about $1400 right now combined. Lincoln: Help! I moved to a new state and can't find a job!!!?
I couple months ago I moved across the country to be with my long-term boyfriend. Everything has been great, and it's been the best thing I ever did for myself except with one little glich... I can't find a job here! Luckily I had saved up a little money and my boyfriend has been very understanding and supporting me through it, but I obviously don't want to rely on him the way I am right now forever. A lot of people have lost their pride. That is why welfare food stamps and all the other handouts are bankrupting this country. Why is it my responsibility to provide anyone with medical insurance when there are free charity hospitals all over the country for people to go to that don't have insurance? Lincoln: Help me pick my next car!!!!?
I would like to get a new car this summer. It will be my first car on my own. I have a couple requirements and I'll give you 2 models that I like. Requirements:
Front-Wheel Drive (I live in PA and lots of snow in the winter)
Manual Transmission (Love driving a stick)
Preferably a coupe style sporty looking car
Under $15,000 . . .
Cars I like: 2008 Honda Accord (I may splurge if I get a new job), 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse (within range mostly), and I love any years Mazda RX-8 (except that its rear wheel drive).

Lincoln: Going to a Trade Cosmetology School or Real Cos. School?
So i want to go to Cosmetology School.
I had already found the place a i want to go, it's only about 15 mins from home.
The place is called Vanity School of Cosmetology.
Its a little place inside of a strip mall and just looks like every other place. Nothing Special.
It will cost $7500 to go to this school but after I graduate they're not going to help me get a job.
I was talking to my boyfriends sister who goes to Aveda.
She's telling me to go to Aveda because its only about 30 mins to that school, its popularly known, they teach you well and they can help you get a job after you graduate or you can work for Aveda.
I'm starting to think that maybe Aveda ...
