Lincoln: Planning a life as a Newmarket Racecourse worker (England)?
I'm 15 and considering going to live in Newmarket (UK) and being a stable hand or possibly apprentice jockey, leading on to higher careers. Should I do a couple of years at a college doing equine studies instead of A-levels then go rent a flat in Newmarket and start work for them. Any ideas on what I should do about further education before work, accommodation, the job or extra ideas? Thanks!...

Lincoln: Objective in resume...what should I put if I have been unemployed?
I am posting this question for my boyfriend, we have a question about his resume.
In February of 2007 his mother had a level 5 stroke which left her disabled and dependent on other people once she left the hospital. He quit his job in order to stay at home with her. As always, medicaid and state stuff took a while, and we have just now been able to get someone to take care of her during the day. He has now been given the go ahead to get a job and move on from this rough time. So now he is trying to find a job, and I was helping him put together his resume. What ya think about this?
More and more of my friends are hitting the age where they should be getting married. One particular thing that I am noticing is that when they pick out potential dates, they look at things like: kind of car one drives, whether they went to college, what's their job, how much do they make, how are their parents, etc. I know why they are looking at all that but is this the right way to get married? What happened to love purely based on the other person's character and looks? Why do people need to discriminate against people who don't meet their financial standards? Marriage, it seems, is becoming more like a business...not love

I can't stand a 9-5 job..and I refuse to work at the mall. I'm completely passionate about helping people and have considered the medical field, but needles and blood make me pass out. I love doing volunteer work, and would volunteer my life away but unfortunately I need money to live. I love psychology, but feel that if I were to continue to get my bachelors and masters and become a therapist, I will only be able to help a select group of people. Lincoln: How much financial aid do i qualify for?
I am hoping to get loans and grants to pay for college. However I am not sure how much I will qualify for. Last year from April to February of this year I worked for a manufacturing plant for 13.50 an hr. since then I only worked one retail job at 8 bucks an hr for a month.
Now I am also under 21 so I am told I will have to also include parental income with my own. Together we made over 50,000 last year. What types of financial aid can I get? And how much can I get?...

so far I've had no luck...how can these people get away with this blantant discrimination. I'm college educated with a variety of past work experience. Lincoln: I have a question about a job offer description, read below:?
I have an interview tomorrow at an oil company. They have multiple positions available but I am going for two in particular. The first one is a day shift for $14/hr (in which it clearly states). The second is for an OVERNIGHT shift and the pay description is as follows: This long term opportunity pays up to 18.00/hr depending on experience.
* If they are the EXACT same job, just different shift...do you think that it will be more than $14/hr? Does it mean they will pay me atleast $16-18/hr for taking on the overnight shift?
